Very helpful and pretty much spot on. Dont forget to match up your numbers (holding top grey w lower white buttons will auto match in about 1.5 seconds) Before switching from side plate to front scanner. Also switching to cross slope, must match your slope numbers before switching to slope, also by holding upper grey and lower white....... matched boom, then switch

Is the machine up in the air when you’re zeroing it out? And do you have to have brand new teeth in order to do this?

It's smart to use Premium gasoline in small engines. Unlike an automobile it will probably cost only a few dollars a year more. If you bought the Ryobi BP42, return it and get a new one next season. They die after a year or so. Ryobi hillbillies will guide you through all the things that could be wrong. That process requires buying part they suggest, waiting for part, installing new part, calling Ryobi when that didn't fix the problem. I went through this 4 step/week long process-At least 5 times: Air filter(1 week), fuel filter(1 week), carb cleaned, carb replaced with a new one, new fuel and air lines installed, new plug. Over 12 hours and ~$100 into this and I give up. Ryobi sucks. Their hillbilly helpers are in the business of getting you to buy all these solutions!! They don't get paid to actually help you with your problem. If the Chinese blew leaves, they'd make a better leafblower. They don't-Ryobi BP42 is a planned obsolescence product. This piece of crap is actually a terrific leaf blower when it works. Show me a homeowner who was able to fix their BP42 and I'll blow your leaves for a season. Also...when you're on the phone with them and they ask you for the serial number on your blower, you'll see that the serial number is sleazily hid by an impossible to read microscopic font size. DO NOT PULL THE STICKER OFF TO READ THE NUMBER!! While on the phone with them I pulled it off It voided my warranty. VERY SLEEZY COMPANY!!
