How to make Steel Capped Crocs - using water

    Move the position of the injection point to the middle and it should apply even pressure to stop the buckling.

    • @oliverklozhoff
      @oliverklozhoff 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The position of the injection point don't make a damn. He needs at least a somewhat 3D part to start with. Or thinner gauge steel. Expecting a 2D styled part to assume a 3D shape without distorting is a pretty tall order. Not impossible, but it'll take just the right shape to allow it. Look at those guys making the big tanks; lots of seam. Imagine making a shape as near as u can to what u want (with only 'flat' steel) then when u hit it with the psi, its got alot less forming to do. Thus less distortion

  • @peteragurkis3590
    @peteragurkis3590 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Curious what that shape was supposed to turn into? I'm thinking if that pattern is something you really want to make maybe a thinner material would do better by not giving in one spot and holding strong and another causing that buckle. Just a thought im only a hobby metal worker. Keep trying bro ❤️

    @bloodybritbastard 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You have 2 curved edges and a 3rd being straight. As the curved sides bulge out it's putting stress on the straight edge that folds in like the second attempt. If you made it curved it should inflate like a samosa :)

      @@picardcook7569 bitter internet children? Ok whatever. Perhaps a review of reading comprehension might help? I offered no advice, except the very strong likelihood that the leaders in the industry have determined the most effective technique off the muscle. Most likely the way these videos show it being done. But if you're the "maverick' type and like to fly in the face of the tried and true methods currently in use; by all means, knock your bad little self out! Better yet, go down there and show those engineers who knows what. I'm sure they'd be elated to see your knowledge on the subject come to life. I wouldn't mind seeing it either; but for different reasons (i love seeing a bufoon do his thing). But totally check into that comprehension thing! Maybe u could finally get promoted out of the dunk tank💦🤡💦
