Also music just alters your psychological state of mind to the point where it takes you out of the real world to what you're supposed to be doing. I think that's why scholars have said that it distracts you from remembring Allah. it places you in this altered metaphysical psychological realm of reality kind of like hallucinations. I feel like this goes for all idle talk. Whenever you look people partying with music, it's as if they're out of touch with reality and their purpose in life.

but why singing. The hadith clearly says musical instruments. There were people during hte time of the prophet who chanted and sang and there used to poetry. How is singing haram. Therre are many scholars who state singing without musical instruments is halal if there is no haram lyrics involved. but the scholars of the past and mufassiroon as you pointed out state that it's haram.

Assaalaam 'Aleykum. As per my knowledge, please dont say "wahhaabee," is bad. Coz how he was labeled was actually false when he was a good person. And the name Wahhaab is one of the names of Allaah 🙂.

The small gesture of making a dua for your mother as your biggest supporter was truly inspiring. It made me reflect on how I can start being more thankful towards my own mother, especially. Don't make this mistake after quitting music! There is someone I know who , after quitting music he now listen Qur'an and he does not at all listen to music intentionally. And he was addicted to Listening Qur'an - how beautiful right? Actually he was not addicted to Listening to Qur'an , ge was living the melody of the recitation or maybe Maqamaat (melodic modes) , so he only used to love reciters who recited with melody - he , in reality , didn't loved Qur'an , The word of ALLĀH ﷻ. So please I recommend Learning Arabic ( it's not that hard , and learning it is like getting a key for a golden treasure ) or atleast learn the translation and ponder over the Qur'an! So please don't fall in Shaytān's trap .Listen to Qur'ān , not Melody. as a muslimah revert thank you for speaking on the first video. i am seriously scared to even enter the masjid or pray or attend islamic things because of the way we can be mocked so openly. this was a great video and it opened my eyes.
