Let's not forget Bernard Butler on the Venus in Furs tracks. Sure, he fucked up leaving Suede after Dog Man Star and Suede are releasing great albums to this day, but Bernard is no slouch. That's him on The Drugs Don't Work and Space and Time from the Verve's Urban Hymns album. I think that he played on the song One Day from that album too. Not sure though. Everything happens for a reason though and him leaving Suede opened the door for Richard Oakes, an absolute legend. The Suede album called Night Thoughts is a Richard Oakes Suede album and it just might be the best album in their arsenal.I think Suede would have said no, but Oasis getting back together and not asking Suede to do a couple of shows with them was a huge blunder. Musically it would be great, but Brett Anderson is an actual front man. Liam just stads there as if he's been skewered up the arse.

This is how Watt and Ashton connected, which led to shows with Ron and J. Mascis which led to Coachella 2008. Long Live the Ashton Brothers!
