This is near a perfect album from start too finish for my $. I absolutely love this album and crank it anytime I play it.

It surprised me that you didn't had any poison album on vinyl until now. I have the first 3 on Vinyl. But the reason was because I got them all dirt cheap on a festival. like around 5 bucks...it was the same festival but on 3 different years....because my thoughts about poison is basiclly like yours about the first 2 Albums....like "yeah, I like those guys! This is a fun song" (through I've played in a poison coverband...but still) Life goes on is properply my favorite Poison Song. It reminds me of the festival where I've bought Flesh and Blood. Because on this Festival I've boned a woman that I've learned to know there. And this tune spoke a little to me after I came home. Because she and I, we really liked each other a lot, but she was living on the other end of Germany. Like I live in the very east and she in the very west. And I know, compared to America, Germany is a small country. But its still around 600 Kilometers distance. (please don't ask me how many miles that is) So after this Festival we never saw each other ever again. Still got gonorrhea because of her. (just kidding) Thats always when music is magic. When through a coinsidence you hear a song that reminds you about what you feel or think at the moment. Also liked always CC's Solo on that one.

Rocktober 24, 2024, still an awesome tune all these years later

I rated this a good few months ago. And after listening to the tracks again here and remarking, its dropped slightly, to 4.2. Open Up Say Ahhh, pips it as 4.3, for me. Their first album is a 3.9 for me. So in order of preference: Open Up, Flesh Blood, Look What Cat Dragged In Great video as usual. Look forward to your new content.

I learned Something to believe in on acoustic guitar. I'm not a big fan of Poison but I like their power ballads.

Lick it up is the best non makeup Kiss album in my opinion. And probably in the top 5 over all Kiss albums.

When you said the only song from the 78 solo albums I immediately started singing "you're the kinda sugar papa likes..."

Lay Your Hands On Me..... wow, listen to this and tell me Tico isn't awesome! And that may be my favorite guitar riff from Richie Sambora. High energy, everything i love about 80s Bon Jovi right here. 5/5 Bad Medicine.... another fun, high energy song. 5/5 Born To Be My Baby...i like this song alot but i stop just short of loving it, idk why. 4/5 Living In Sin...its good, but never been a favorite of mine. 3/5 Blood On Blood....i get why this song is so popular, i really do. Music is top notch and the story telling is great. I really like this song alot, but just like BTBMB, i stop just shy of loving it for some reason, i just can't pin point. 4/5 Homebound Train....ummm. so, this is my favorite song on the album actually 😆 5/5 Wild Is the Wind....i have a weird relationship with this song. Every time i hear it, i think it's really good. However, something about it just doesn't do much for me. If I'm honest, I'm only at a 3/5 Ride Cowboy Ride....it serves its purpose and its nice to listen to but i can't go 5, so Ill go 4/5 Stick To Your Guns.... awesome! I tend to think of it more with Blaze of Glory but still a great song 5/5 I'll Be There For You.... great vocals from both Jon and Richie, but im kinda worn out on it. 3/5 99 In the Shade...i feel like i should like this song more. It's another up tempo high energy song but for some reason it just doesn't stick. 3/5 Love For Sale... on one hand i like this. It's kinda goofy, tounge in cheek and is just fun. Plus you're right about Richies playing on it. On the other hand i feel like i can't rate it on the same scale as other songs....i guess 3/5 but I'm really not sure lol All in all, i love New Jersey but it's not my favorite, as you can see, a few of these songs just don't stick with me. Still a great album though!

First of all, I've been enjoying your reviews, not just Bon Jovi but Dokken, Ratt, and some others i have saved to watch later. You've earned a new subscriber here! Bon Jovi is my favorite band, but this is easily my least favorite album, however i don't hate it. Don't love it either... Limitless....is terrible imo. That bridge has to be the worst of the bands catalog. And i don't need the singer of my favorite rock band telling me to brush my teeth lol 1/5 Do What You Can....i like this one, its catchy. Not top shelf Bon Jovi but for this album, it's good. 4/5 American Reconning... this is a snoozer to me. Maybe 1995 Jon could have carried this, but to me, it's a snoozer. 1/5 Beautiful Drug...i do love this lol best song on the album for me. 4/5 Story of Love... musically, beautiful. The sentiment and subject matter, beautiful. The execution, terible. The lydy diddy dy is bad and the lyrics are all over the place and unfocused. Despite that, it's a 4/5 Let It Rain.... the snippet sounded interesting, but the song wound up being forgettable. 2/5 Lower the Flag.... the snippet sounded bland and forgettable. The song, it's actually really good! 4/5 Blood In the Water.... feels like a forced clone of Dry County. I don't get it the way many fans do. 2/5 Brothers In Arms..... the dictionary definition of a 3/5 Unbroken....took me a while. Didn't care for it at first but i grew to like it. Torn between 3 and 4, but I'll go 3/5 This album was doomed from the start. Jon's voice has declined and he and the band sounds tired to me. And who wants to relive 2020? (Except for me, my son was born that year, but on the bigger scale, who wants to relive 2020)... and the track sequencing is not very good imo. How did you like Forever? To me it's the best album since Lost Highway!

I am not a big kiss fan after their "unmasked" album, but unmasked for me is almost a perfect album, besides of torpedo girl an she is so european, which are really shit. You have to understand that unmasked is especially produced for young teens and as such it worked absolutely fantastic back then. This is the reason why the lyrics on the album are so extremely simple. Simple but very deep for a teen ..like shandi, naked city or is that you for example

Alright, let me give you a shocker lol Bon Jovi is my favorite band, and I love this album! However.... ....I don't really care for Bed of Roses...it's a well written and composed song, the performances are great, I just don't get anything from it. I much prefer In These Arms!

Monster album, that’s an 80’s classic. Every song it’s a gem, with hidden treasures as What i’m After and Don’t bite the hand that feeds.

I absolutely agree with everything you say after the 50 minute mark. I've been saying the same thing for 28 years. Sebastian was the only one smart and interested in Skid Row. More than Doc even. He pursued the interest of the whole group, but these selfish ones never understood it. Except Rob, who left after they fired Sebastian. Their last album was a big compromise for Sebastian, in every way, but Rachel, David and Scotty never got it. High self-esteem, ego and selfishness have never been good counselors. They ended up opening for KISS because the whole world mocked and resented them. But it's not Skid Row without Sebastian. And they never will be again. Too bad. They were a great band, and Sebastian Bach continues to be a great singer.

Props to 5 stars for Mystery Train, i love that tune!

Its My Life was my introduction to the band... and yes i remember the first time i heard it. I won't forget that, after all that was the moment i was introduced to my favorite band!

This album is a tale of two halves. Undivided, parts of The Distance, Hook Me Up, Bounce, even Everyday... heavy, in your face, awesome! But too many ballads! I do like Joey and Right Side of Wrong but i can totally do without All About Loving You, You Had Me From Hello, and Open All Night. It's a shame songs like No Regrets and Standing were left off. Great Vinnie Vincent reference too!

Amazing review! I love Bon Jovi and I do love Bounce as well! I just discovered your reviews though so it might take me a while to get through them but I had to comment right here, when you said you question the bands decision making with singles.... YOUR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I've had the and thought for years! They leave so many potentially hit singles deep on their albums!

The thruth is that robin had kinda been the gate keeper on the 1st two albums after they had success every member thought they were better than they were. Bo had made them sound good in the 1st place i seen them in 83 and 84 live and Stephen never sounded like the album even back then. Warren was a great player but not a song writer. Robin was a song writer but not a great great player. Blotzer was average at best(that great playing you were talking about was Bo's overdubs). Their biggest problem was they believed their own hype. Dont get me wrong i loved the 1st two albums. But your acting like they were just amazing live and its just not true. I seen Ratt 11 times back in the day and maybe 3 of those shows were really good. Motly crue was the same way until way later in their careers. Bands like savatage, acdc, great white, even warrant were always good live.

Also nice season for the Royals. Huge jump from last season. Looks like for the first time in a LONG time the Cardinals are going to be irrelevant and a rebuild for a couple of years 🙄☹️

So in the last video you mentioned going to this tour with DLR. What you didn’t say was that you went to STL. I thought you saw them in KC. So we were at the same show because I told you I went to it here in STL. I looked up my ticket I had 6th row CC side. Any chance you remember where you sat? Also the tour didn’t come to Kemper arena in KC? Now to the album. So I can see why you don’t like it now but I don’t understand if you liked LWTCDI in the 80’s I am quite surprised you felt even then that it sucked. If you remember I didn’t care for them originally but this was the album that worked for me. Except the drums sound a little dead to me just like a lot of 80’s drums. So now it’s still pretty good I give it a 6/10. Like LWTCDI it’s a nostalgic good time fun album. The cover- also have to shake my head. Thought it was cool then and now 🤷‍♂️ Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Flesh and Blood………🤔

I agree with your comments. I was never really a Poison guy. Kiss was my hard-rock band, and later Dokken and Savatage. Your take on Your Mana Don’t Dance was spot on. I am one who never, ever, never-ever appreciates a cover song. Despise them. Period. Harsh, I know, but that’s me. Looking forward to Unskinny Bop, their best, IMO.

Always had the same thoughts about the production. Btw. thought the same about Theater of Pain too
