Here is another Old School Sprue Review for your enjoyment. A nice bit of plastic of a classic Mustang that was at one time not appreciated for its nice lines and the style that it created for future Mustang generations to come.

A nice treasure turned up and looks like a good kit from the old days of model building when cars ran on gas and no one complained about the fuel economy.

Nice review. Love the older cars. I guess because I am in the over 60 crowd. Hope you're holidays were good.
@@johnhopper6352 thanks for watching, I’m in the same crowd as you!
Nice looking kit. Thanx for sharing.
Nice kit. New sub here. Thanks for sharing David
Would you use Isopropyl alcohol to remove the releasing agent on this kit
"Remarks". Sorry, I'm a smart-ass, had to throw in my two bits
Very cool older kit! I used to have a 79, V6 car. Swapped to a 302 and C4, manual Fairmont rack, 8.8 with 4.56 gears, was going to be a fun bracket/ NHRA Stock Eliminator car. Ran out of money. I'd love to recreate it in styrene.
I just do the "Motorworks" Mustang!Same tooling like yours!Did many mods to the interior becaause it no detail insid! But i like the kit very much
Awesome to see this older kit!!
Great review of this old kit!,i have one buried in my stash and i seem to remember Revell also offering a Motorcraft Mustang with a black and orange car on the boxart.
Ordered mine in July. Got it December 18th. Anything good takes time. Was worth the wait
Cool kit. Fine video. In the mid 70s I was operating a 71 F350 2wd wrecker for Pierson Towing in Encino, CA. Other than the 4wd/2wd, and the wrecker body was a very similar Lamb body from LA, the whole rig was very much like what Moebius has created here. My truck was Ford Wimbledon White with navy blue trim on the top edges of the bed, the floor, the A-frame and boom. It had markings for 24 hr. Service, National Auto Club, AAA, and a couple of others. Phone number on the sides of the hood. After the other driver quit, it was just the boss and me, plus another driver who operated out of another garage across the valley. He was an 8-5 guy. The boss worked nights for the OPG (Official Police Garage) in the area where Rodney King had his s uffle with the LA cops. So any night calls came to me. I worked out of a Texaco station on Ventura Blvd at the Encino/Sherman Oaks border. You know...Land of Valley Girls. That was 7AM until 8PM. Then I worked out of my home 15 miles away in San Fernando. Nights, I would often finish a tow or service call, go home, take off my shoes, lay down on my bed, fall asleep, get a phone call 15 .minutes after I laid down, throw my shoes back on and hit the road. The area I covered included all of the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Pasadena, downtown LA,Hollywood, West LA, Santa Monica, into the surrounding mountains. Quite a large area. Sometimes the calls involved towing a car across LA to near the customer's home. I technically had 12 hours off on Sundays, from 6AM to 6PM. ALWAYS got calls during that time though. I was making good money. But could not use any of it except on fast food. I ate most of my meals in the cab on the road. I kept asking the boss to hire another driver. He would ask if I was allergic to money. I would respond, "No, I'm allergic to falling asleep at the wheel. It causes crash rash." He would laugh but would not hire anyone else. Then one afternoon, I was on the 405 freeway northbound in fairly heavy 55mph traffic, with a brand new Cadillac on the hook. I woke with a start. 3 miles north of where I remembered. Having just gone through an S-bend. Now in a different lane than I had been. I finished the tow, went to a shop that made and sold accessories for Toyota Land Cruiser 4WDs. The owner had made a job offer when I went to jump start his wife's car. I accepted his offer. Then went to my house and hooked my Baja Bug on the tow truck. I hadn't driven my personal car in over 2 months. I drove to the Texaco station. Unhooked my Baja Bug. Walked to the office where my boss was BSing with the owner of the station. I tossed the keys to the tow truck on the desk and told the boss to call his wife to tell her to cut me a check because I quit. He wa dumbfounded. Sputtering. Asked me who was gonna take the calls. I told him I don't work for the company anymore and didn't care. I went to my Bug and drove to the boss's house to get my final check. Had to listen to his wife pleading me to stay on for another month. Told her I'd been warning him for months. Drove away. Last time I drove a wrecker. Wow. 50 years ago. I want a pair of these. 1 to build with front suspension from a 2wd version of the Ford pickup and custom decals for Pierson'sTowing. And one to build 4wd per the kit.
I think I’m going to use a bicycle tube for the towing part on the back and just cut out those two plastic ones
Looks awesome! Can’t wait for the build vid I’m going to order me one we can’t buy model cars around me anymore so now I get the good stuff since I have to order everything on the net we never really have had anything but I’m 52 and remember mom and pop stores had a good selection as a kid but they have been gone for years but we have a hobby lobby and they always have the same thing for years and no new kits or anything like supplies I want, luckily I have over 1000 unbuilt kits I’ve bought through the years that was 5 to 10 bucks then to always fall back on
It's a great kit!!!!!
Very cool kit! Thank you 🎄🧑🎄😎👍
Awesome sprue review. This kit is on my long list of kits to get 👍😎

I built this kit several years ago. And I'm pleased to say that it is a wonderful kit to build and highly recommend.

@@blakerogers407 it is available in the US now at Sprue Brothers and Mega Hobby
Lots of reviews, but has ANYONE ever finished one? Dane
Excellent and an unsual theme.

I’m 42 seconds in, looking at a model kit box that says it contains a 1/35 scale model, with text overlaid saying it’s 1/48. Why should I watch your channel, again?
@@markfergerson2145 yes it’s 1/35 I made the mistake of 1/48
Check your references well since there were two not equal. Each one was unique.
Cool model. 🛥
Nice oob review,I note that the next Gecko release is an ottter APC ,incidentally you may know this there is (based in saigon) a company called B&L models that do a whole slew of 1:35 3d printed bikes taxis & figures to go with the gecko vietnam items.
I have one on order, thanks for the review
They have good subjects but their instructions are garbage
@@airzonakid Ive only built their universal carrier mk.ll but thought it was okay . I don't remember any probs with instructions but that's one kit . Great end result due to finess of small parts and good etch . M
That's a great release from gekko . I love vietnam subjects and this is a future classic kit . Thanks for the review. M
great review,thank you for sharing
Cool model. ✈
Excellent review Brett I have those kits individually if I known ICM was going to make a box set I would have waited
It was called Naked Fanny by those who served there.
That kit is as old as me. Great to see a old kit. Thanks for the videos.
Tried to build this in the 70's. It got binned. No fit is harmed in this model. Enjoy your puuying, have a lot on hand. 😊😢
This kit is from 1972. I built one when I was a kid.
Cool model. 🛩
Look forward to following your build 👍
Very cool update sir can’t wait to see the hemi in there
That’s a great tip…using the glue to clean up the panel lines.
@@TerryWilsonModels Thanks, I learned that from another modeler myself!
