And no this is not based on the S.S. Atlantic (1870) this is based on the 1929 movie that was changed to "Atlantic" from "Titanic: DITA" for back then legal reasons.

The ice scene could be one of the most favorite and interesting and rewatchable scenes of The Polar Express as the steam train escapes the frozen lake.

SCP-1929: *[REDACTED]* *[REDACTED]* takes the form of a four-funneled steam-powered ocean liner. Judging by its design, it was likely built in the 1910's or 1920's. Upon initial inspection of the vessel, she was found to have the name "ATLANTIC" painted on her bow and stern, and her port of registry given as Liverpool. The ship's papers verified this information. However, no records are known to exist of a four-funneled ocean liner with that name. The only records found regarding a Liverpool-registered liner named "ATLANTIC" were those of a White Star Line steamer lost in 1873. However, upon the second inspection, the name painted on the ship's hull now read: "TITANIC". The ship's papers, too, now gave her name as "TITANIC". Despite having the same name and same number of funnels, it bears little to no resemblance to the famous White Star liner "TITANIC" lost in 1912. Over the course of repeat inspections, the ship has been observed to be repeatedly altering her name from "ATLANTIC" to "TITANIC" and vice versa. How or why this entity does so is unknown. One employee who makes a study of 20th century transatlantic liners in his spare time pointed out that the main first class staircase is almost completely identical to that found on the "IMPERATOR"-class liners built by Hamburg-America Line. The bizarre, anamolous properties of this ship, or rather, this entity remain a mystery. She seems to pose no threat to society though, although we will continue to investigate further. Honestly, you can't pay me enough to write this shit. I bet you that ship's just another piece of junk that came over here from an alternate dimension. In any case it will make a nice place to host the Foundation's annual gala dinner.
