I know people love Chamberlain, but skekung is my favorite skeksis by far.

He was my crush when I saw this movie the first time when I was kid, I don't know why, probably cause of his voice and that he's the main decent looking Skeksis in the film and the Netflix series. Awesome vid 👍

“They all look the same to me” that’s pretty disturbing tbh. They’ve ruled the place for 1000 years in a long alliance with the Gelfling and they can’t differentiate them?? Yes they hold them in contempt but that’s still very.. unsettling.

Everytime this guy is in the scene..there so much violence omg hahhaha

The swordplay in some of these scenes is INCREDIBLE! Let's not forget, with the exception of a few CGI moments, these are puppets! But Rian and his father facing Skek-Mal together is truly riveting, and the funny thing is we don't really see the swings, for the most part, we see the swords connect. Clever editing and sound design make it feel like an intense duel.

Fun fact, the same guy who voices SkekZOK voices toad in the Mario movie

Oh man . I just love SkekMal , he’s so badass😍 He’s everything I always wanted from a Skeksis , agile , almost animalistic , a great fighter , really intimidating. Just a straight up monster . SkekMal is next to Sil best Skeksis 😁

2:44 "Chamberlain is not smart like Scientist." It took me way too long to realize that Chamberlain was insulting the Scientist here. He's not saying he's dumber than the Scientist. He's saying he's smarter than the Scientist because he's a master manipulator and doesn't use science to get his way.

The only Skesis with all four functional arms, while the others have really small pair of second arms that are the size of twigs. The other Skeksis were just wasting themselves away in their castle, draining the Dark Crystal and Essence, while SkekMal lived a longer and healthier life as a hunter, like Kraven.

Skeksil is my comfort character but I think he needs some comforting after getting pelted with pitch berries then having the other lords of the crystal mock him for smelling of pitch berries

They definitely added more to Skektek such as why he had a weird eye and the fact he created the Garthim. He was responsible for understanding the crystal and finding ways to prolong SkekSis existence. Despite this, he was still constantly harassed, abused, and taken advantage of by the others. He was Aughra’s friend in his past life as an UrSkeks but had to end it to be in the emperor’s favor. He took out his misery on the Gruenaks and Gelflings so he was still evil.

As a kid watching this movie, Skektek was my favorite SkekSis since he had a cool Voice, Cool Design, and because he drained PodLings which was one of the most terrifying scenes in the movie. I would imitate his voice which was in itself an imitation of Peter Lorre.

Definitely my favorite SkekSis. Like The Garthim. He reminds me of a Kaiju being an actor in a suit with an animatronic face and for his monstrous Personality.

The most sympathetic of the Castle Skeksis. Introspective, genuinely curious, even kind, and regretful. But also the most despicable in his horrendous experiments. My favorite.

Never have I ever would see a time that Jim Hansen's studios would create such astonishing masterpiece of prequel series of the dark crystal, capturing some of that 80s quality setup and storytelling.
