I want to see the Casters up on the stage. Like the content creator match. This way, it promotes a healthy view of what You the Casters have to do and gives you all the chance to create a healthy chance for banter. Banter is acceptable if you can take a dish yourself. As for this year leading up to SI. I feel the format is broken. So much so that other Regions always come in fighting a war with Attrition rather than the actual event. Sure MENA had a great run with Falcons, and Chiefs had a hard crack. But you could see that both regions were showing fatigue from running a hell of a gauntlet Every region should have at least 2 teams at the Majors. That way MENA and OCE can see some growth in player experience, it deepens to pool, and makes the points for SI more impactful.

I love it when casters add personality to the cast! It adds a great element of entertainment. Please don’t moderate your personality during a cast and don’t listen to redditor’s that do not represent the majority of the audience

I think it would be cool if Blast could get players on the analyst/casting desk more often. I think Doki did a little bit of it at Manchester and it was very entertaining and insightful.

Shit-talking pre-game or during game is never an issue. Its a competition in the end, and players have emotions - of course players will love to maintain the momentum when winning/lift up the morale when losing, and sometimes yapping is great way for it. The only concern is that when a player (i.e. Ashn) DIRECTLY discriminating others' appearance, in this case, Beaulo's hairline. Don't forget that Ubisoft always want to promote positive in-game environment and we have rights to report voice abuse in game. This should always be the case in pro scene as well. This time we have discrimination on someone's appearance, but who knows about next time if we are going to get racist abuse? I think we are very close to getting it if the situation doesn't get handled correctly.

Re BB: I don't enjoy playing against or as shields, they seem boring to play so passive and I don't like just running at someone and killing them with little ways of fighting back That said, the little time I played with him during the TTS I had fun, I think for the first time (minus casual shield croot rushes) I had fun playing with a shield.

Currently if you're caught using a 3rd party device on console with MouseTrap, you're placed within the PC player pool for 90 days. (This used to be input delay added, but then lobbies became people rubber banding their controllers to fool the system into thinking they were legit. IDK if input delay is still added) This will be continuing along with the ability to manually select PC pool if you're on console. However, it doesn't seem like continued use of these 3rd party devices in the PC Pool causes any ramifications, (if you use them on PC you're met with a ban) meaning legit PC players are going against un-punished recoil Macro player who are being sent over from console. As these 3rd party devices don't just say "hey I'm a controller" when using a chosen input, some have scripts in them to directly counter the recoil and have "profiles" for each game you play. Console players may argue "it's your turn now" but PC also has various other methods of cheating that far outweigh what boils down to recoil macro's I don't think we've had any confirmation if native MnK will be supported for console if they choose to play in the PC pool or not, just that their platform Identity will be hidden so they're not bullied by PC players elitism. But they're not going to suddenly get MnK recoil, they're going to keep the same level of recoil as they do on console (which is the same as if you plug a controller in on PC) Personally, as a PC player, I don't want cross play. I don't think it will be fun as a higher skill player to go against someone who struggles to shoot back at you. I think the matchmaking will be broken in assigning a "Plat Console" to a "Plat PC" and there be a huge skill disparity in aiming. Sure there are probably plenty of controller users that would wipe your average PC player, but those controller players wont be placed against "average" PC players. I don't want them on my team, for the same reason as wanting people to be able to shoot well, I'm also pretty sure there is not Push To Talk option for their Microphones, and the have to delve deep into the settings to turn text chat on as well as having to pop open a big window and select each letter one at a time to text chat. However a part of me thinks that if there are players who are aware enough to toggle the PC matchmaking on, they probably have these other settings on / a mute feature on their headset, and to give it a shot before I dig it. But I do hope that if it goes the way I think it will, that the "enable Crossplay matchmaking" setting on PC will have a use again.

I agree with the comments about putting a bit of personality into the less important games of a tournament and even between matches etc of stage games. My issue with caster negativity is when the focus of the comments are on what went wrong for the losing team rather than what the winning team did well. It feels like some casters are a little lazy and just pick the low hanging fruit. I think it is a shame that the begining of rounds is often filled with what often seems like pointless yapping rather than continuing on with the previous round analysis, or even better (and something very rarely done), explain what the team is setting up and what they will be trying to get out of a round. I think new fans would really benefit from that.

a grand final is already entertaining and the casters can just explain the game, watching wolves vs cl4l sucks(no offense) and the casters have to make up for the entertainment, definitely think the standards should be different for yall

That Chiefs-FearX game yesterday was a big disappointment, I hope it's just LAN jitters and the boys can get over it in time to make it into phase 2. Then again, I suppose that just reflects worse on FearX, who were supposed to be the more experienced team and yet lost handily to that Chiefs performance lol

BDS arent as nailed on as they seem. They struggled in EUL too much to be nailed on. Teams like Wylde and Secret showed that they have issues that can be exploited.

I can only watch EU & APAC consistently due to timezone, for this major, BDS (1 match) & VP (overall) have struggled to handle shields, so it'll be interesting to see their plans for this event. Personally, really happy for the Zofia change, means that I can use her for some sites 😂

Feel curious on few thoughts towards old APAC North: 1. 12:23 Japan is starting import internatiional coaches like Brucezz from Lst; liddel from kinotrope and even Harper from E36. With all those team have different nationalities coaches both regional dominant team still overcome it and prove as the better team in Japan. Japan regional strength depth still show they have better talents on it than Korea. The problem is maybe people lack of trust on local talents than international talent. 2. 14:25 Absolutely not a wasted years for Fabian(and Pengu) as they already talked about it lot of time that they have 2 years to build their Korean team and the 1st year is just a experiment period that to TRY to qualify majors or make top 2 in Korea. Their stage 1 performance is just a beyond expectation from Fabian's plan I think this is a right time for them to take a step back on what shall they do in future. The second year will be the main focus imo

Great discussion here, very interesting to hear about the OCE grand final and what happened behind the scenes. Chiefs definitely looked like the better team in those last two maps so glad they were not given the forfeit. On SI points, the cutoff will almost assuredly be lower than 350 as regional leagues give less points than they did last year. I'd guess that the cutoff may actually be right at or slightly below 300 points, which would be good news for Bleed/PSG Talon/GG. Realistically, there are 12 teams that can pass 300 points: CAG, SSG, FearX, Elevate, Dplus, Cruelty, E1, W7M, ITB/G2, Falcons, Soniqs, and Virtus Pro. Most other teams would require a top 3-4 or higher finish which is unlikely. Of those 12 teams, six did not make the Manchester Major, so Elevate, Dplus, Soniqs, Virtus Pro, W7M, and Falcons require making Phase 3 in Montreal to pass that number. W7M and Soniqs are teams that could likely do that, all the other teams are either not strong enough or are too inconsistent to reliably do that. E1, ITB/G2, FearX, and SSG all require going at least 2-3 in Swiss to surpass that number. SSG could likely achieve this, FearX would be massively overperforming to achieve this, and the other teams are yet to even qualify to the Major as of now. Cruelty can tie that number if they make Phase 2, which is unlikely given their international performance this year. CAG can surpass that number if match their performance from Manchester. I've watched this team enough to never say they are locked to do anything, but with a favorable bracket in Phase 1, its not out of the realm of possibility to achieve that. In this instance there are four teams that seem to have reasonable odds of overtaking Bleed/PSG/GG, in which case 300 points will be the cutoff for making SI. I don't quite know how the tiebreaker between them works and who is first out if more teams surpass that, but it would seem to me that those teams are relatively safe for SI.

thx for the insight into the 10 min pause, especially for the sake of a broadcast. i also did not know abt the rule book abt no predetermined length for timeouts. also ya i agree w like mental being an excuse being a lame one at that. HOWEVER i still think that there is a massive level of inconsistency across regions if we can believe what people are saying. 1st, hasib had a sub ready, but were not allowed to sub them in. days later E.36 in japan are allowed to sub in their assistant coach and end up making an overtime comeback, denying vite a point (and playoff potential). these are both playday matches with exact same situations, but different results which is devastating for hasib and vite. then in oce, outlast almost had to forfeit on the last playday due to internet issues. admins gave them 10 mins, and they won on mobile data. ok cool for the sake of a more important grand final, i get it sorta. according to GG, they also checked abt the tech pause before the match and were also told 10 mins. so the admins on the same day reassured that 10 min tech pause is the standard. however chiefs got and hour tech pause. now obv who knows if some of these claims are false, but at the end of the day i think there are some very real competitive integrity concerns across regions solely because there seems to be no hard rule on tech pauses as we see from both group stage and grand final day. obv chiefs deserved the win w how things were shaking up, but i don’t think you can deny that there is a serious larger issue at hand <3

Love the insight into what happened in the OCE grand final, the fact that chiefs had to physically pack up their equipment and move mid final is insane, But the result 100% deserved though. All the new teams going to the major will by far make it the hardest to predict for the minor regions.

The rehost drama is definitely more surrounding all of the M80 games. Even casters lowkey called them out against ssg.
