We are an eSports racing team that completes on iRacing. Our main focus is the NASCAR Xfinity B class open series. However, we have drivers that race a little of everything on the iRacing service.
This Channel is dedicated to providing help to drivers seeking to increase their skills on iRacing and sim racing in general. We will provide content on driver development, setup information, setting up equipment, reviews of setups shops, and equipment reviews. Plus, we will have a little fun from time to time with some live streaming of races. (Please don't take the live streams to serious. There is usually a bit of sarcasm and some frustrations from time to time when there are several of us in a race and on discord together.)

The great thing about these is you don't have to comprimise on quality. These literally do the exact same thing as buttkickers, but for 1/4 of the price. I've driven my friend's rig with Buttkickers and mine with the dayton audio kickers and I can't tell a discernable difference.
I like it. There are some areas which could be improved, but overall this work around looks like it increases the longevity of the wheel. I've had mine for approximatley 2 years and it's now showing with worn rubber grips, cracked housing above the shifters, etc. I don't mind the rubber grips, but the wear is becoming ecsessive to the point of being uncomfortable. Fanatec doesn't seem the best when it comes to after market servicing and general customer communication. Irresepctive of the price point fo this wheel it's obvious that the unit has design defects, its a shame Fanatec doesn't provide basic replacement parts for what, overall is an expensive hobby. Good stuff ; ).
I play qith quest 3 and pc link *VR) how do i use this software if i have to launch game from steam library?
How do I join this league?
Hi, The Motec ACC data does not show in the workspace you provided how do I FIX it ?? & great video
Ive got an identical set up to you and this has been the most helpful video ive seen, and ive watched many. A lot of vids go over connection and install if sim hub, but dont cover specific set up of FX especially wheel slip which is what I want the most. Ive ordered another Dayton TT-25 for my pedals. Gonna spend most of this weekend tweeting setup. Thanks for this vid its great
Iracing is such a cash cow I just want to compete evenly. And all these setup shops are just monopolizing off of it. And it should be illegal
you've got no ears dude
Good job! I invented the custom-molded steering wheel grips you in IndyCar, F1, IMSA, NASCAR et al. Yes, they're expensive, but I've done quite a few SIM wheels for drivers who want to be able to fine-tune the steering wheel...PersonaGrips are RE-moldable. Congrats on a job well done...esp for 1st time!
I had the Formula Carbon V2 rim. It was nice, but the ergos are weird. and, I have two McLaren rims now. The older one the rubber grips are starting to wear off. I need to wrap them with something. The other one I have is new and I haven't even used it.
5:25 Yeah a lot of shops are like this, but its not that they're building a different setup just to give to the house drivers. The sets are all the same, but a lot of times the house drivers want it set up a specific way to fit their driving style or they might find something that works a little better and adjusts the set accordingly. Set builders ain't perfect, but a lot of times its not a whole different setup, it's the same set being sold maybe with a different spring package in it or different trackbar adjustments
Aloha can I use this for home theater?
Hello guys, I’m confused this bass shaker. I’m playing with ps5 and connected directly to my tv in that case if connect one bst1 + amplifies connected to ps5 is it work without downloading simhub? Please give me a solution before I buy it. Thank
Linda Raimondo is my race driver
Im using an ASR6 with a car seat, how would you compare this 100$ alternative versus the buttkicker gamer PRO ?
Thanks for the review... invesigating alternatives to the new limited edition rim that Fanatec might release in the future... saw one on eBay. I already have a Universal Hub v2.
Thanks for the work book. Using it on road. I have a question though. No matter what I do the damper histogram doesn’t change. So I’m going blind tuning dampers any advice?
20:05 Their the same way too with instructions and information when buying a product. You sort of have to just figure it out yourself. I bought their Gas & brake pedal. Once I figured it out I really was super pleased!! So I just now ordered their clutch pedal. They are super helpful when you tug on their cape. I've been pondering wondering if I want to graduate from my GT-DD Fanatec to either a Simucube, Sim Magic or Asetek. But I think I'm gonna run with VRS Force Pro! Asetek uses the same motor. Sim Magic is chinese 100%. Now not to bash Chinese, but in my past experiences often the components are of lesser quality somewhere along the line. Their also newer and haven't passed the test of time. They have a 1 year warranty? It's either a Simucube 2 Pro or VRS. If their wheel base is as cool as their pedals I'd dig on it! I know that VRS has built up their firmware for it too.
The simucube is also shaped like the same motor too. ? Makes me wonder Is their really a difference other than the wheel mount.
I really like Fanatec ecosystem. I have a DD1 for my primary rig and a CSL DD for my kids and a backup for me if I would even need it. I love their universal hubs to use any 3rd party rim I want and huge selection of wheels and solid pedal offerings. It is just a shame how bad the customer service has gotten after their black friday mess and the financial problems of the company. I am really hopefully the corsair purchasing them will straighten out all of their issue and keep the product quality has high as it has been. If I were to get a new wheel base I think I would get the new Fanatec Clubsport DD or DD+. Honesty, I don't see how a person would ever use more than 8-12 Nm of force froma wheel base. My DD1 can do up to 20Nm, but I typically use it comfortably between 6-8Nm. So when you look for a new direct drive wheel base once you get past like 12Nm the extra power is pretty useless for 99.9% of sim racers. So you are really looking for smoothness and wheel rim compatibility. Fanatec's DD1 and DD2 where not smooth feeling wheel bases for the first couple years they where out because the used the belt driven CSW and CSL Elite base drivers. However, when the CSL DD came out fanatec completely rewrote the drivers for the ground up for direct driver wheels which totally changed the feel of my DD1. I have tried the top end Simucube at micro center before and it does feel a tiny bit smoother than my DD1, but the extra price for the Simucube for the very tiny bit of improvement is crazy. I have also hard from people that the new Clubsport DD wheel bases are even smoother than the DD1 and DD2. If you have liked your CSL DD and the Fanatec ecosystem in general I should really consider the Clubsport DD or Clubsport DD+ before dropping $1500-$2000 on one of the "super high end" direct drive wheelbases. Just my thoughts though and I am not arguing that the new Clubsport DDs are technically better than the super expensive one.
@@Area51AlienFactory Yea, I hear ya on that. Too bad Fanatec has sort of come to a $$ fight. i do like my Club Sport 2.5 with additional podium paddles with my GT-DD pro. I also have their pedal system. Through the lot I have grown a bit in my driving in a short time I think. Of pedals it seems like we have "Dampeners" Load cells" or Hydraulic. I ended up feeling like I needed something in a wheel base that will provide me with some more or finer detailed information. Something I can feel the cars suspension and tire detail & weight balance a bit finer or smoother with force to add to it. I think all these systems are good and have much to offer. For me I narrowed it down to either a VRS or a Simucube base. I have become so impressed with my VRS load cell pedals that I did order their clutch too. I've really learned to like GT3 and GT overall as it is fun. I'd also like to learn to drift. I'm a Newb" But I think I'm gonna get me a Simucube 2 Pro cause looking at it from a mechanical stand point I see two Mean Well power supplies that run 48 volts at 280 watts. Two of them! "?" I started thinking and pondering how that the firmware and filter sectioning may require that much power to run and process it's data I'm thinking. Could this be the data I seek? It's pulling 560 Watts! Just over half a KW! ? I bet that provides a hell of some action for my hands and chassis! I'm not crazy about that cause I just landed solar on my house which is working well. LOL. I also built me a ASR 4 Sim Chassis. Their out of Canada and the aluminum stock is US grade stock and it's machined cut and powder coated in Canada. Like VRS they are also sim racers in their circles. Of all my choices they recommended a Simucube 2 Pro. He said I won't regret. Then I see Berry Roland from the Sim Race Garage break it down for us and it's built very well. I've been pondering over the concept of an "Eco" system. Fanatec has us locked in. My VRS pedals are really nice! With a Simucube I can mount up any wheel I choose and just run it to a USB connection. This seems to afford me a bigger part of the sim industries products as an eco system. I feel more unlimited. Maybe I'll land a Gomez wheel, when ever. I am told by more experienced sim racers that I'll see or feel quite a difference. I'm gonna keep my Fanatec stuff cause it's good. And Sim Magic at least their cool enough to leave their wheel bases unlocked so you can mount any wheel you want to attempt to mount up. Asetek uses the same motors as VRS as it is an industry standard. I like VRS! I bet that wheel base gets the job done! Asetek Invicta ?! Great action! I think honestly all the options are winners. A DD1 or DD2?! Lot of action! The simucube does seem to be pretty high on the food chain. So I'll just get it one piece at a time. No hurry. My GT-DD will keep me company in the mean time.
Personally the “elite” setups is what makes me not want to pay for anything from them. If I’m willing to pay for their drivers setups, that shouldn’t be nerf’d just so they can charge more for an elite setup. Seems shady to me
I thought something similar at first about intentional nerfing of the driver setups. However, I did some research on their website and then asked the owner Mike Ouellette about it. The conversation was almost 2 years ago so I hope I remember it correctly now. But the driver vs elite setups from them have nothing to do with nerfing the setup, but rather who the builder was. So they usually list the setup builder on the webpage for each car/track setups offered and you will also notice the majority of their cars/tracks don't even offer an elite setup. So, in order for them to call a setup "ELITE" and charge extra for it the builder has to have an iRating above a certain level. If I remember right it was over 5k. If the builder's iRating is below 5k for example then the setup could not be offered as an ELITE setup. Now just a few of my personal deductions and thoughts from using their service off and on for the past couple years. I have noticed their have been only baseline and driver (subsciption) setups available cars/tracks where the build was still over 5k iRating. I am guessing in that case the builder would have to want to try and create a second ELITE setup at that point. But I have also seen times where the builder of the driver setup and the elite setup were different (one under 5k and the other above). So this leads me to believe there is a different paid structure for the sub setups and the single purchase elite setups. Conclusion: 1) Diver setup - If the builder's irating is under 5k the setup is the best they could build and is not nerfed. 2) Driver setup - if the builder is over 5k and their is no "ELITE" setup offered then the driver setup is the best they could build and not nerfed. 3) Driver setup - if the builder is under 5k and an Elite setup is offered by another builder when neither setup is nerfed, just buit by different drivers with different irating skill levels. However, I doubt the ELITE setup would ever be slower than the driver setup. 4) Driver setup - if there is an ELITE setup also available and is built by the exact same builder (over 5k iR), then is this case I would be a bit more suspisous of what you are concerned about. Become the same person built two setups and the ELITE is obviously faster. I have actually seen this a few times on the NASCAR setups in the past. However if you are buy a pretty much all in one setup subscription for nearly everything in iRacing for only 10 or 11 per month like Majors and VRS offered I would not expect the same level of speed as shop that sells individual setups for 10-15 each or a sub for only one car for $30 plus a month. That is a huge price difference and your expections should be based around the price.
2 of their 2.1 audio amplifiers would be sick. It would let you run 4x smaller shakers (L/R front and rear) and two of the bigger bass shakers mounted center under pedal plate and under seat. Obviously a little pricier of a setup, but probably a LOT better feedback
do you know if this works with microsoft flight sim?
What setups is he claiming to run?
For that whole season Cody was with the Ryco Performance setup team. I am not sure if anything has changed with them in the past year since the video was recorded.
I hated how small the formula wheel is. They are tiny and as you said, arms felt smashed in to my sides
Super review. I'm just thinking about buying one
Yeah, if you do a lot of road racing having a GT3/Formula style rim is really nice. Also, I have been using this rim when racing NASCAR stuff on road courses as well. It has actually improved my lap times because of the better reflex response times you get from a 30-31cm GT3 rim vs a larger 35cm/14inch NASCAR style rim. But on oval tracks the precision of the larger rim is more benefical. Thats why having 2 good rims is nice one for oval and one for road. Howeverm if a person is just starting out and can only afford one rim with their original setup purchase, a quality round rim at 32-33 cm (12.5-13 inch) would be a good all around choice.
I wonder if I could hook this up to a headphone-amplifier that also has output-options for speakers. - I'm just not sure about both whether or not I can get an output-signal while also using the headphones, AND, even if it does do it simultaneously, if it's enough power. - If that would work, I could potentially leave out buying an amp, if I'd get into this method. - I need things to be streamlined anyway, because I need to be able to set up my rig onto my regular desk. I simply have the wheel ready to go, apart from the USB-cable, to be mounted to the desk. - It's just those additional two or three wires, though... AND another power-brick... or two... But perhaps it could be doable with some streamlining.
The issue is you need to have a seperate sound card for this application. The great thing about this solution is the usb sound card is built into the amp.
I wonder what a clustertruck this would be to set up under Linux...
Um, I am not sure about linux. You would have to have simhub or sim commander running to control it. I use linux myself for different purposes. I have Linux on my steam deck and I am also running a linux server at my house, but I have never tried sim racing on linux. Sounds like a lot of work.
What if I hang it up to the mesh of the seat of my chair?... 😏
I am not sure how that would work. The main thing is you want to have it tight to your chair somehow or your rig. But you also want to isolate the vibrations as much as possible.
I have used both in a 4-channel configuration. If the cost of Buttkickers is prohibitive, go with the Daytons. From my experience, the Buttkickers are next-level, blow the Daytons away. I was shocked when I upgraded to the Buttkickers.
I agree the buttkicker transducers have a higher fidelity than the Dayton Audio tansducers. That means you can probably put I higher number of different effects through the buttkickers and still feel the difference in viberations. However, I don't care much for the amps provided with the Buttkickers, they are prone to overheating, at least they used to be and they didn't save the volume settings when turning them off and back on again. Also I only use about 4 effects and the Daytons can handle those just fine for a 3rd of the cost. Thank you for the feedback I think you are right.
I was wondering if you or Tracy ever do setup coaching, I just got back into iRacing and did a run at Phoenix in Xfinity series with the iRacing setup to start building a set for next week and imported the telemetry to Motec for the first time. I'm using your workbook and understand most of it. I just wanted to bounce some ideas off you on how you interpret the ride height compared to what I'm thinking. And if I'm going about improving it the correct way.
Yeah, I am sure we could set something up. Just shoot me a message in the iRacing forum. Tracy is the guy you want helping you with that. He is our chassis guy.
I have a lot to learn. I just came back to iRacing (and racing in general) and finished this race a little bit ago. For me it felt like after 10 laps I had no tires left. I'll definitely try to put into practice what you've said.
Hey, glad you are back on iRacing. Glad to help anytime I can. Tire wear is a huge deal and really seperates the best drivers from everyone else. I am pretty good at managing tire wear, but there are guys out there at are way better than me at it and their irating reflects it. Here is a link to a video I did about tire wear that might be helpful. th-cam.com/video/oImnfE7UMCY/w-d-xo.html
@@Area51AlienFactory Thanks! I'll definitely check that out. I've always gravitated towards superspeedways, I just find them a lot more fun than small tracks, and on those tire wear isn't such a big deal. These small tracks though... Yeah.
Thank you for all your videos. Ive been watching all your setup building and other this week. Great work. Im about to try motec for the first time. Was just wondering if workbooks ever get outdated or if i will be good using your workbook?
I am glad the videos are helping you figure things out. So in general the workbooks should not get outdated and should last a long time. The only big update that I have ever made to our MoTec workbooks was when the NextGen car came out because its suspension is done differently that the other oval cars. The NextGens are setup with the same kind of suspension that is on GT3 cars in iRacing. There is rarely ever any need to update the MoTec workbooks, however if there is ever a big change that requires an update I will repost a new updated workbook.
I didn't even know that I didn't know this stuff. I've been a subscriber for awhile but never watched these Motec videos because I didn't have it. That's about to change. Thank you both for putting in the time.
You are welcome and we are glad you found the videos. I have been uploading videos again this years and I have several more already filmed and in the process of being edited on a variety of subjects. I also have more being planned as well for this year. I hope you keep coming back to the channel and enjoy what we do here.
great detailed video
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
Just installed one on the seat. I believe just 1 is enough. Brings the rig alive. Thanks for the tutorial.
I am glad you got one and like it. I picked up a second one for under my pedal plate. I am thinking about doing an updated ultimate 2 bass shaker 2024 video.
@@Area51AlienFactory Please do! It would be much appreciated
@@Area51AlienFactoryI'm thinking of putting BST-1 under my seat and BST-2 under the pedal plate? Or do you think BST-2 under both would suffice? Thanks!

Be nice if you guys didn't sell setups, and did free ones very close to perfection for people who can't do it. Information should be free
We don't sell setups. We are just a team of guys that build sets for out team and then do these informational videos. But I have done reviews of setup shops. I also try to give people resources to get free setups to help them as well.

What is best for iracing VRS or Coach Dave
Forgive my ingnorance, but who is Coach Dave?
@@Area51AlienFactory coach Dave academy he is known for ACC but is going iracing now
I went and checked out Coach Dave Academy. It looks like a pretty nice place for ACC setups and driving tools. However, for iRacing he is only offering setup packs for 9 road series, mostly GT3/IMSA stuff. He also offers data bundles for a small handful of fixed series (I am assuming that is hotlap times, maybe replay file of how to run best line, and possibly some driver input telemetry data). So I have never driven his setups before so I can't speak to which setups are better for the same cars. However, for iRacing, I would go with VRS if choosing between them. iRacing has a ton of content and once you get into it you might want to try stuff other than the 9 series Coach Dave offers setups. VRS has a team of builders and offers setup and data packs for nearly all (with a few exceptions) the series in iRacing accross all disiplines. That would be the main factor in my descision. I race serveral non GT3/IMSA road series, Rally Cross (super fun), Oval, and even Dirty Oval occasionally. As long as your iRating is below 3k (like most people), VRS provides solid competitive setups for just about everything and I recommend them to everyone starting out in iRacing.
@@Area51AlienFactory cheers dude I will go with VRS 👍
This was an excellent clear and informative video. As a beginner this videj helped me understand the way the ffb in game setting works. Much appreciated, please keep this up and ignore the negativity! You were better than other videos I've watched 👍🏼
Thank you, I appreciate it. Glad I was able to help you.
He was stopped up high and locked down. You just had a racing deal man. It sucks but had he not kept it locked down and collected people trying get going it would have been on him. Some one should have called that out though.
I agree, I don't think there was a way to avoid it unless someone called it out as soon as he went around and said he was up high and to go low. I was just irritated because it was a single car self spin that caused it. Once he lost control and went around he locked it up and did what he could. But going around by himself was bad on his part. (And I know, we have all done it at some point.)
It's crazy how we can completely destroy these cars, but as long as we can get them repaired and no engine damage, we're still competitive even at charlotte? I think that's why we keep having so many cautions, those causing and involving in all the wrecks repair their cars and head on out to do it again. Myself included... i should have been junk after slamming into the 3 car. Bummer on the end of your race. Looks like you were approaching race as I was. No reason to be battling side by side early in race, chill... save tires, save car and sometimes it works, sometimes not
Yeah, that is how I approach all the longer races. Can't do well if your car is all wrecked.
I've improved greatly from their services for the past year
Nice, having decent setups, basic telemetry tools, and instructional videos can really help.
Sorry I called you out in that race. Looking back at replays I can see it wasn't intentional, just bad racecraft. For future reference, when these tires are old and get slid, you really can't expect to throttle it back up hard without spinning. Really gotta ease back on them after slides like that. I know it wasn't intentional, but it was just bad decision making. Hope you have better ones
Thanks, I have almost exclusively raced Xfinity series on iRacing oval. I am a bit new to these 87 cars. I played around last year in winter NiS with them a bit, but thats about it. Thanks for the help.
I was #3 raced around you a bunch. After i got got caught in a late race caution after a long green flag and everyone pitted except the 13... i rolled the dice and took 2 with hope some others behind me would take 2.... too, but they did not. Started 3rd behind 13 and 9. Fell to 6th from 4th after I thought the race was over... I too thought we didn't have GWC. Thought overall fun race. thanks for streaming!
Oh yeah, fun race. I love the Winter NiS series. I raced it last year too. I hope to see you in more of them.
