My grandma and my mom used to sing to me when giving a massage and it started off with Hilot Hilot....did anyone else have their elders sing it to them and if they did remind me how it goes? Both my parents and grandparents have passed and would love to pass along that lullaby
Xin vía 🙇♀️
4:45 2 Unlimited is fronted by two Dutch people, who also wrote (some of?) the lyrics, but the music was written by two Belgians. 7:00 1993 actually. The group was formed 1991. 13:05 same story for T-Spoon; fronted by Dutch people, music by two Belgians. 15:54 "Adagio For Strings" is actually an American composition by classical composer Samuel Barber. But yes, Tiësto is Dutch. He was one of our Fab Four of Trance: Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren and Vincent de Moor. Van Halen is also partially Dutch.
KUYA I DID NOT KNOW YOU PLAY. Asian server? 😭😭😭😭

The left photo of a woman obviously looks like Sangley( mixed filipino-chinese), but the right one, I believe she was a mixture of either filipino-spanish or sangley and spanish . You could tell by her features ,especially her deep seated eyes.

They were mostly from the Northern tribes and descendants of ancient Chinese who immigrated to the Philippines thousands of years ago. That's why they have rice terraces technology that is similar to Vietnanese, Chinese, and NE India tribes.

According to the Nusantara Malay Dictionary, ENCIK is a call (greeting) to a man or woman (for some people) who has a modest position or who is unknown.
You’re a man that acts like a woman?
Mahal ko si Santo nino
Also, there's a legend that the reason Marines are nicknamed Leathernecks is because they started wearing leather collars after so many of them were getting their necks sliced by people with machetes in the Philippine-American War
Haha, nice video. I practice Modern Arnis in the U.S. with some students of Remy Presas, super fun! Fwiw, I get my practice sticks from the Philippines, Smoking Sticks ships worldwide if you email them.
Van Halen was formed in the US but Alex and Eddie Van Halen were born in Amsterdam and moved to the US when they were kids

To all Filipinos, stop spreading all of Chinese products and culture here in Philippines... Chinese people also has no interest on studying Filipino culture and discriminates Philippines.

wow what an interesting video with soo much in-depth information. Clearly based in real knowledge and presented in a very understandable way. thank you
This is a very interesting part of PH history for me. I took one of those DNA tests and found out I was 45% Chinese Hokkien (Quanzhou) + Cantonese (Guangdong) and 54% Filipino (Luzon) but have a Spanish last name. Relatives told me it was because of Spanish ancestry that we looked a bit different but I have 0% Spanish and was actually Half Chinese the entire time LOL
now you know. next time u find another person in ph claim they have spanish ancestry just by looks, tell them its because theyre actually half chinese the entire time ahahhhaa
@@xXxSkyViperxXx where not a Chinese, were Austronesian, our ancestors are Aeta, Malays and Indones...we are colonized for over 300+ years so we are more Hispanic than to be a Chinese.
@@NBS-rk8bl lol what they taught u in school is outdated already. austronesians did not come from aeta. aeta are negritos who have been in the philippines, taiwan, and ryukyu for around 46 thousand years already. meanwhile austronesians only came around 4 thousand years ago to the philippines, coming from taiwan who themselves a thousand years ago also came from today's southeastern china, tracing back to the yangtze estuary. also, it makes no sense in the first place to say that austronesians in the philippines supposedly came from "malays and indonesians". Malay is an ethnic group initially from southwestern borneo that later spread to the malay peninsula, sumatra, java, and beyond. Indonesian or "Indones" in tagalog is a modern nationality that only sprang up in the 20th century. it makes no sense to say that austronesian ethnic groups in the philippines came from them. that is outdated info provided by american prof Henry Otley Beyer in UP during the american colonial era, near 100 years ago already. Also, hokkien chinese migrants and merchants have been trading and living in the philippines for 1 thousand years already ever since late tang dynasty and song dynasty times, especially during early spanish colonial era. open up the vocabulario de la lengua tagala from 1613 and you will see even the spanish friars recorded that the tagalog elderlies called the chinese as "Langlang" even before and today chinese filipinos still call themselves "Lannang" or "Lanlang" or "Nannang". one does not need to be austronesian to be "Filipino". in fact, the first Filipinos were the spaniards born and raised in the Philippines, since the very word "Filipino" itself is from spanish and the very first people called as such were the local filipino insulares whose ancestors conquered the land that makes the Philippines today... Jose Rizal, Emilio Aguinaldo, Andres Bonifacio, Manuel Quezon, Sergio Osmeña, etc were themselves chinese mestizos...
Most Filipinos have spanish surnames, but that doesn't mean most Filipinos have spanish blood. When all the natives were converted to Catholicism by Spain ,they also changed the name of every places into spanish, as well as given every natives a spanish surnames to identify them.
Bump, enjoyed binge watching your videos on Philippines culture. You are entertaining and erudite. I went to the Philippines in the 80's, in the US Navy, have had several Filipino friends and Filipina girlfriends. I've always connected with the culture and people as a white man. Thanks again!
I’d love to see more Filipino true crime cases!
