Car manufacturers today like other major corporations are only concerned in profit. They are solely focused on making things that as cheap as possible with the cheapest labor possible and selling at the highest price possible! Which equals the highest profit possible! Pride, quality and durability come at cost not a profit.
It’s a shame. The cost of these pickups is mind blowing. But yet, under all the chrome and leather is a disaster waiting to happen.
ABSOLUTELY NOT (title)
Any new truck, get the extended to 100K. Then after the engine craters, demand an extension to another 50K bumper to bumper. Not just GM, quality sucks on all of them right now where they are spending way too much on R&D and gizmos and losing sight of the foundation of the truck itself. But if you have the 5 or 6 liter AFM, it is just a matter of when. Bright side, you should be in the class for the recall...
No dude they hall have issues but it don't hurt to switch it up
Honesty this is the reality with modern cars, it’s all digital and plastic, 100k miles is about the end of a life for modern vehicles with possible issues nearing the end
No, it's a sign you should have gotten a Ram 😂
Rams worse then all of them
No, sir, i have had 3 never left me on the side of the road. It will turn into a pile of rust, yes, but won't leave you on the side of the road.
@ sir my dad owns a buy here pay here I’ve seen it all if by chance drive Cummings they test in deed you’re correct but if you have that 318 or the 5.7 you’re fucked
No. Cause it doesn’t matter what you get. Every brand has issues. Not one brand will be perfect you’ll have a nightmare with one brand while someone else with the same truck has nothing but a perfect experience.
my 7.3 has 142k miles and still runs like a dream i mean a few issues here and there but nothing major.
Buy a 97-04 f150 with 4.2 v6...simple engine and minimal added bs.just dont expect big towing numbers or smokey burnouts..
Straight trash bin
get a dodge not a ford
I have a 2000 Honda Accord with 230,000 miles and it runs great. Only issue is I have to replace oil pump seal about every 30,000 miles I guess it's a common issue with that motor but I can do it myself in about an hour
lmfao I got a FORD ad
another one at the end of the vid too 🤣
also just saying raptors are getting cheap I've been having fun in my 2010 its got 285k km on it with the 5.4 :p
I’m gonna buy a fully loaded 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 tomorrow, and my dad has owned gmc trucks, and our family has owned many gmcs over the years, the only common issues with all of them was the transmission went out every 100k miles, i’ve never seen this happen to a GMC before.🤷♂️
if you get the 5.3 watch the lifters. the 4cyl mode is annoying. i have a '14 1500 sierra right now. i drive in manual 5 to lock out the 4 cyl
I have the Pulsar LT to disable the Dynamic Fuel Management.
oil cooler line probably let go , gm hasnt been able to build a cooler line that doesnt leak for 30 yrs+
@@EverydayJ1786 exactly what happened
Find a truck that was built in 2015 or before. Ive noticed that 2016 and on is where things get dodgy
i drive alot. I see domestics on flatbeds all the time never imports. usually see ram, chev, ford trucks or SUVs being towed lol
Nothing is better then anything these days. If it wants to die its gonna die. Ford, chevy, ram, toyota, nissan, Honda, everyone just pumps out strait shit. Buy what you love and just expect something.
Kind of…everything’s got its problems for sure but if you really believe Ram and Stellantis put out as good a product as Honda and Toyota you’re smoking some good shit 😂.
@@OhYeaMista Toyotas have lots of issues. Old Toyota was good. New ones went down hill big time..
@@OhYeaMistajust as slim said Toyota don't make a good new truck! New one's have big issues!
Best attitude to have when purchasing a vehicle
@@Tman0517 💯💯💯, all brands have issues! I bought a 2017 Silverado used almost three years ago with 46,000 miles. Really liked everything about the truck especially the look. But before buying I searched all the main issues. So trying to be proactive I changed all fluids front to rear including transmission and also installed a lower temp thermal bypass cause transmission failures do to high heat hurts torque converters. One of Silverado issues. Then the other was AFM lifter failure, so I bought range technologies afm delete module! I did all stuff by myself and cost just shy of $500. Poor maintenance is a lot of the issues on all brands. I do mine before recommended by the manufacturer because they don't want vehicles to last forever, they wAnt to sell you another in 5 years!!! Research whatever vehicle you want to buy before you buy it and be proactive and service it!!!!!! Lol. Y'all have a good day
Good job not saying what engine it is. I can tell its a 5.3 but beother come on
@FordZda You are right, it is the 5.3. Good engine other than weak crimp on the oil cooler lines.
Dont buy anything made after 2007.
Have we been doing our oil changes and maintenance, I ask because people these days think you just drive vehicles without maintaining them.
Yes, oil changes every 5,000 miles.
not always the issue
Take it back and get a 2014 steel body Ford
Maybe do maintenance instead of blaming the truck 👍
Yes, the dealer said that it looked like the oil cooler line may be leaking. I did not see a single drip of oil in my driveway and thought they were just trying to get money out of me. My mistake.
@lowleveltrim1819 oil cooler lines should be replaced at 100k Like I said do your maintenance bud
Bro listen to the video. He said the truck had 78k miles. Those lines shouldn’t have needed to be replaced if we’re going by your 100k threshold.
@nateye2450 it's not MY 100k threshold. It's GMCs threshold. You're not very bright are ya
@nateye2450 also, the KNOWN ISSUES of oil coolant lines popping off is worsened by a lack of oil changes. You don't know jack shit about gmc/Chevy Do you
about to hit 80k on my 17' 3.5 ecoboost f150, oil changes and tire rotation every 5k im about to do a trans flush as well. Maintenance is key on the newer trucks you cant just drive them like the old trucks.
When you rotate tires is there a set rotation to do? Front to back? Side to side or front to back diagonally?
@@cwatson42785 go on google and look up “tire rotation” go to images and it’ll show you how. For a rear wheel drive car the 2 back tires go straight forward and the front ones diagonally cross over to the rear. A front wheel drive car is the opposite the back wheels diagonally cross over to the front and the front tires go straight back. My girlfriend’s 2011 Lexus is250 has different front and rear tires so they are rotated across the car. Generally vehicles are rotated normal. I recommend looking up a video for your exact car just so you know you got it right. I’m on 35inch bfgoodrich ko2’s I want them to last as long as possible because it’s $1000 minimum for new tires for me
front to back and back to front is typically the best way to do it
@@oxidizedoregano front wheel and rear wheel drive are a bit different
Older vehicles got oil changes at 3k or 3 months. The 10k recommended now is crazy. 5k with synthetic and a premium filter is ideal, especially with turbos.
My 2019 gmc sierra premium plus brand new off lot was jerking at 1k-5k miles then completely violently jerked at 10k transmission went out then since under warranty it took them 2 months to put a remanufactured transmission in a brand new truck at time . And it still jerked 😂I got rid of it for a Lexus when warranty was about up . Had Nissan titans before over 200 k miles just wear and tear got my dream truck and turned to a nightmare. Gm is 🗑️
my 2016 ford escape transmission and turbo both went out at 55k miles, the second turbo failed at 70k. got rid of it and am in a new 2025 corolla le
What engine was in it? I had a 2013 2.0 escape had 197000 miles on it and still ran great but totaled it hitting a deer last year
@ 1.6L
1.6? I had a 17 with 1.5 and that thing was reliable as heck. @oryenm
I heard the 1.6l engines are troublesome (they were in the 2013-2016 models, switched to 1.5 for ‘17). My family has a 2016 escape with a 2.0l and it’s been a good car. We’ve never had any major issues, knock on wood.
A ford wouldn't make it that far😂
Love how your dogin on Ford when this guy literally didn’t even make it to 80k. Typical brain dead gm fanboy
@yeehaw3730 Nope not a fan of any. My last ford made it to 62k then started having major engine problems😂 2018 f150 3.5 EcoBoost.
@@fireant1272 every brand has cars that have issues. Even Toyota and Honda. Just because you started having issues doesn’t mean the whole brand is a write off. And there’s your problem. Should’ve got a coyote
@@fireant1272 what happened to it tho? Cam phasers?
Will this work on Asia car brands?
This model says it is for GM vehicles. I would look for one that says compatible with your vehicle make.
Great video, I was trying to relearn the old school way of releasing pressure and wasn't getting anywhere. Ordered the tool, thank you!
I’m having the same problem has this tool worked for you?
Which location in Virginia I’m in Virginia Beach I want to just change my car color from gray to silver I don’t really have any dents or paint issues how much do you think it would cost for basic paint and clear and do they sand the car and prime it
I had mine done at the Chester, Virginia (15 miles South of Richmond) Maaco location. If you have it repainted the same color, like I did, it is a lot cheaper because they don't have to repaint the door jams. I am not sure how much to do a paint job with a change in color. They give free estimates on the spot. That would be the best way to get the cost.
Works for 2022 Chevy Blazer
Not only is the upgrade worth it, it's just about mandatory to get rid of those bottom of the barrel ranchos... The 6112's are great and they're NOT "too stiff" for a daily driver, the 5160's are overkill, especially if you never or rarely go offroad, and even then you'll not experience the effect of the remote reservoir...
What setting did you put the front shocks on?
I asked the shop to put on the 4th setting to give the most height. It didn't look much different in height than the stock on the AT4. Which I believe is due to the AT4 (same suspension as the Silverado Trail Boss) already having some additional lift over say the SLE or SLT Sierras or the LT and RST Silverados. If you have an LT or an RST the highest setting is supposed to add almost 2 inches to the front.
I waisted 1200$ and hours and hours of trying to fix this problem
corporate america is evil. for this change in fluid. the new version is thinner. old thick fluid causes shutter
all shops are not informed.
gm changed the fluid and kept the same name. old fluid is gen 3 new fluid is gen 6. its in roman numerals. this has cost me over 1000$ to figure
2019 GMC sierra elevation stay away. Stay away stay away 94,000 miles boom transmission fails
Subaru frowns at you!!!!
Will that tool work for my 2015 Chevy Cruz? I just bought one.
Yes, it should work for a 2015 GM vehicle.
Okay man thanks
None of my tire sensor are working, so hopefully that tool will reprogram it
So how do they feel? I have a ‘23 AT4 1500 and it’s super bumpy for everyday driving. Do you think the Bilsteins are worth the upgrade after using them for a while?
I think they are definitely an improvement and worth the price. I would recommend.
My experiemce with VXDAS is they don't pay return shipping on defective items.
we have had one for years for gm vehicles. works great
Will this work with a toyota tocoma 2012 ??
This model says it is for GM vehicles. I would look for one that says compatible with Toyota.

Thanks, I will be looking for the order.
I have the same truck 2019 AT4 and Im experiencing the same issues with mine, sometimes It will shift fine but most of the time from 1-2 rpm i get a rough shift on acceleration and from time to time on deceleration as well. Ive went to the dealership 3 times now and they say they dont feel a thing. I have about 17,000 left on extended warranty I purchesed. I havent done anything but I wanted to try the transmission flush that you did on yours to see if I have any luck with that. Is thats something your warranty covered?
Thank you. Just picked up a 24 AT4 and was thinking about upgrading. 👍🏼
Bought my dream truck 2019 gmc sierra slt premium plus blacked out black 22s and guess what transmission went out at 10k miles . Had a friend with the Denali 80k in 2019 and it went out at 3k miles . No help from dealer was gonna do a lemon law but traded it for a Lexus es 350 straight across love my Lexus
So how are they holding up?
