Hi, my name is Mark and I amm the driver!
I'm a motoring enthusiast through and through. Not everything has to be fast, expensive, or sporty. I care more about the personality of a vehicle, who it's for, why it was made, and what it's like to live with. Because of my intense passion, I tend to feel strongly about quirky design language, in-car technologies, and daily useability. I try to find the good in every vehicle I drive, while still zeroing in and explaining its shortcomings. In a day and age where everything on the road costs a small mortgage, It's important to distinguish what you actually NEED, and what's just for show.
My history in videography and production means that I get to present beautiful commercial-grade b-roll, and 4k pov driving footage.

440i Gran Coupe Review || BMW's split personality GT
Hello everyone! Today I'm bringing you a BMW 440i with the famous MPPSK exhaust! It's a non-M, all-wheel drive sedan with a powered hatch, and a massive trunk, it's not a sports car, right? Well, whoever greenlit the M-performance power and sound kit thought it was. It's got mountains of torque, loud enough to need a disclaimer, and completely standard.
Powertrain: 3.0 single-turbo inline 6 (B58B30M0)
Output: 355 hp/369 lb-ft of torque (allegedly per BMW)
Transmission: 8-speed auto w Xdrive
0-60 MPH: 4.7s (0-97kph)
Top Speed: 155mph
MPG (as tested): 9L/100km
Curb weight : 3,880 lbs

Great job with the review man! Very well shot and edited! I am in between an RC350 F sport and the 440i Coupe and I can't seem to decide between reliability and fun!
Thank you!! The Lexus is a sure thing no doubt about it, will run until the body literally decomposes. I’m a bit of a BMW guy so I’d likely point you in that direction (depreciation kings) That being said, this particular 440i has had 2 minor issues because the owner wasn’t driving it long enough or fast enough. Hence the review (I’m told). With both, you’re not giving up much of either imo
@@AMMtheDriver 100%! We have a 4Runner and a Prius and both are at 200k miles and both run like new! So I’m kind of scared to own a BMW even though I hear amazing things about the B58, but the only maintenance I need to do is to put oil and gas and filter, so I’m not used to more needy cars lol. I’ll tell you for the Lexus I really liked the quality of the interior, the gauge cluster that moves and the Mark Levinson sound system, whereas for the BMW I loved the performance and handling but the interior left much to be desired and I was not particularly impressed with the Harman Kardon. As far as looks they both look sick, but I really like the power in the BMW. When I test drove both it felt like it was 100hp more than the Lexus!

Thanks. Have you also tested the difference in cruise response to the different drive modes? Or maybe the improved HDA2?
Glad you asked! When you use adaptive cruise, the digital gauges still show the selected drive mode, but the transmission and throttle tuning defaults to the "comfort" setting. If you're in sport mode with adaptive cruise turned on, it doesn't hold gears. Recently shot a Genesis GV70 video and did a fair bit of driving with HDA2. It's in editing right now and should be good to go for next week:)

@@chadjohnson2853 Agreed...at least, not before acquiring the know-how to properly operate them. Modern cars inspire confidence...not raw skill. My 1969 Buick is a handful when pushed on dirt..but..is rewarding tenfold in how you learn to find the happy medium, between gripping and sliding...right on that fine edge. Would i do that on public roads? No. Would i do that on private roads & tracks? All day long.

Subaru makes a great offroad platform in the Crosstrek. Subaru CHOOSES to not offer a standard transaxle. The car is perfect for a standard. CVT fanboys will sweat and wring their hands over my slight. Remember by CHOICE. I will look elsewhere as far as offroad.
I got 2011 outback 3.6 r.. a really great car. Passing through snow like butter.
Also the XT only gets 18 real-world mpg in the burbs. No storage up front.
Only problem is they are a bit cramped and out dated. Excellent drive train though.
