Good morning Sir I have to go watch your cyclization of sugar midway into this In cyclization U said that the hydrogen of the hydroxyl group of the penultimate carbon goes to join the oxygen on the first carbon this d oxygen losing its double bonds which was understanding But on this video now,evn with the penultimate carbon loosing d hydrogen of its hydroxyl group U re still using it to determinant to know whether it will b alpha rotation or beta rotation which I feel is wrong as d hydrogen there is given out already please kindly clarify me on this

As somebody new to chemistry, I’m so freakin happy I found a video without those DAMN LINES. I understand it’s shorthand and much easier but I find myself thinking “wait is this line 2 or 3 carbons?”😂
