I think this video gives the clearest determenation of who Sue is: it's not Elizabeth or Sue as self or identity but her consciousness which gets to inhabit 2 bodies but dosent have a face itself. There is no true self, its a construct that our consciousness uses as a mask to engage with humanity. There is no Sue and there is no Elisabeth, there is a consciousness that uses identity and sense-of-self to navigate the world as best as it can. We can also read that the Sue-Self is unsustainible without Elisabeth, the consciousness needs Elisabeth to sustain itself and wants to be Sue to feel happy and worthy of love.

Carrie was awful to all the other characters, but what she did to Aiden is pure evil. The entitlement, abuse and manipulation is disgusting to watch. I hate how the writers made her so idolized by Aiden throughout the entire show and the second movie.

Because he said himself he was raised by his nanny, and his mother was barely home except at night when she drew him a bath. Steve is a Man-Boy. This is not to be confused with Mama's Boy. I believe he is an only child to an alcoholic Ma who handled everything...sort of. No mention of a father in Steve's world. Ma still calls him Stevie. Steve was allowed to exist without expectation. Steve doesn't have friends and has apparently worked as a bartender since 21. He picks up on hook ups at the bar, never having to show them his hovel he lives in. His best benefits is that he is cute and is great in bed. He has never picked up a career driven, insecure woman like Miranda. Even when broken up, Steve doesn't know how to properly handle his diagnosis of testicular cancer and has to come to Mama Miranda to make everything better.

The biggest red flag with Aidan was how quickly he moved on after Carrie. Not sure of the exact timescale but it wasn't THAT long afterwards and the point was emphasised by him carrying a baby. Aidan wanted a wife (appliance?) and family. He tried to convert Carrie into becoming a trad wife baby making machine pumping out little Aidans, which is what he eventually got.

I preferred Big to Aidan. Reason being that Carrie could always be her messy, authentic self with him. In fact he was the only person who accepted her as she was. Aidan liked Carrie's energy but didn't like the way it manifested itself and so he kept trying to control and mold her into something she wasn't.

One thing I did respect about Charlotte was her approach in dealing with men she knew she saw marriage potential in and men she knew were just around for a good time. Sometimes, when people truly love someone and get hurt, they make big changes-hitting the gym, updating their style, or changing their appearance. Heartbreak can push people to reinvent themselves, both as a reaction and a step forward. I think Aiden changed because he was genuinely heartbroken, not because he wasn’t nice.

Pre nups are not just for rich people, it can also be to lay out money that will be protected for the wife in the event she becomes a stay at home mom (setting up an account in her name and laying out what assets should be in her name after childbirth and parental work). It can be planning for future assets, even if you currently don't have much, lol

She didn't develop. She had the same mentality. The only thing that changed about her is accepting a not so handsome looking man as a husband. The one who changed the most is Samantha, then Miranda, then Charlotte. Carrie remained the same awful person.

In my opinion, Charlotte asked Trey to marry her simply because she was expecting to hear the proposal, but as it didn't come out of Trey's mouth, she felt compelled to say it just so she could hear it. She physically couldn't hold her breath anymore in that very moment. Also, this was building up in her mind because she thought Trey was very much suggestible.
