Royal Enfield Bullet 350 - Friday Ramble and testing the Hitchcock's Decat Pipe
Hi everyone. Welcome to another half hour journey on Walter, where I ramble on inanely about stuff whilst desperately trying not to get lost.
The weather was awful last week, so this is my first video for a while. I hope that you enjoy it.
The critter counter didn’t take into account the bug that sacrificed itself on my camera lens in the second half of the video and I hope you don’t find it too distracting.
Have a great week.
Beena and Walter.

After an awful week of weather and the man flu I finally got to take a short trip out on Walter. The British weather decided to be uncharacteristically summer-like today, so I took Walter the Bullet out for a nice 30 mile ride around the verdant Bedfordshire countryside this morning. Next week I will be fitting the DNA Stage 2 air filter kit to see if that perks him up a little and unleashes his inner tiger roar. Took my new Bullet 350 out for a ride to test my camera. No talking, just the wonderful sound of the Bullet's thumping 350 single. It was a beautiful day for it and the camera performed surprisingly well sound wise, but unfortunately it only recorded half of the clips I took due to the battery not lasting very long. #royalenfield #bullet350 #royalenfieldbullet350
Hi Beena, I put the DNA FILTER amd Hitchcocks filter cover on after watching your video and boy o boy..,. Now my bullet 350 Clementine, has longer, lively legs in each gear and sounds wonderful too. Thanks for the tip and for all the videos . Really enjoy the channel.
@@johnc6165 Hi John. It really makes a difference doesn’t it? Glad you like it and are enjoying the videos.
Hi I really enjoyed the video the bike is excellent I hope to try one thank you for sharing the mental health I have try to cope for years I have subscribe God bless
@@andybiker2236 Thanks Andy. I hope you get to try one soon. Good luck with your mental health journey. It can be a struggle at times and it’s important to make sure that you have the tools to help you cope. I hope that you have those and you continue to work on our wellbeing. All the best my friend.
Good views for a new Channel. It grows slowly. Post regular. Just subscribed. All the best from Thailand🙏
Thanks fella. I have been really surprised how many views I've gotten to be honest. Must be the novelty of the new model Bullet. I'm sure I'll be back down to 2 views a week soon 🤣
Try living and riding in Melbourne (Oz), as I did for nearly 30 years. Can be 40+C one day and 10C the next; it's extremely changeable and four seasons in one day is very commonn. There's an expression about Melbourne weather, "If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes, it'll change." And it frequently does! 😂
@@chrisweeks6973 Sounds like the UK, more more extreme! We had 40C+ a couple of years ago for the first time and it was dreadful
@@BulletBeena Melbourne's a bit like a warmer version of the UK. 40C is getting a bit warm; I lived in western Victoria for a while and we had 49C there. Here in my part of West Aust we regularly get 45C; got the photos to prove it.
@@chrisweeks6973 That's just crazy heat! I don't know how you survive in that. Then again - our houses in the UK aren't built for hot weather so in anything over 25C they just act as giant heatsinks and we all boil. I'm guessing you guys have more suitable houses to account for the heat. Doesn't take away from the fact that 45C is still way too warm though!
@@BulletBeena Yes, 45C certainly is warm! In this part of WA the houses are double brick, same as UK; in most of the country it's brick veneer construction. Reverse-cycle air-con is a big help as homes many parts of the country don't have heating built in, however it's the humidity level that makes the largest difference. On hot days it's generally low humidity, so it's a dry heat, unlike the UK. That said, I've also lived in Borneo where the average humidity is 98% and clothes go mouldy in the wardrobe in a couple of days. I've also lived in the Philippines where humidity is likewise very high in the wet season, being May-Oct/Nov.
Good morning, I couldn’t agree more. I just put the DNA air filter and the Hitchcock filter cover on my new bullet 350. I definitely noticed a difference. I find the Motorcycle has longer legs in each gear between 20 and 55 MPH. Runs smoother and stronger, and the sound is more throaty. Well worth it. I really enjoy Channel. Keep making these great videos. Cheers.
Thanks John - I'm pleased that you enjoy the channel❤ I'm glad that it's not just me that sees a noticeable difference with the upgrades.
Thanks for sharing Keep up the good work !!
@@gordonmcallister9354 Thanks Gordon. I will try.
Great ride, I've not seen much of Bedfordshire before, it looks very pretty. England changes so much as you go through it, looks like a different planet to here even though it's only a couple of hours away really 🤪 Thanks for sharing

If you've done the air-filter and exhaust, you have to put the Kent cam in it. The others made a bit of difference but the cam made a significant improvement. :)
I'm on the fence with that one to be honest. I'm pretty happy with Walter's performance right now and don't feel the need to go chasing more gains. He's a happy little plodder and I guess that's the main reason I bought him 🙂
No don't do the cam. Stick with exhaust and filter that's all you need.
@@Rayraysplums I was leaning that way myself. I'm happy with how Walter runs right now.

The word wanderlust doesn't really exist. It's actually Fernweh, it's the opposite of homesick 😅
@@martinheinze2186 Indeed. The same video I watched with the “Grief Bacon” word mentioned that. Heimweh being homesick.

@@BulletBeena that is nice of you too.
Your videos cover the ground I grew up around. They take me back to an FS1E, Honda 175, Suzuki 250 and CB500, I still have family in that area and I love identifying the roads and villages I learned my riding and driving on and about. Good onya for getting out there. 👍 I started paddock riding in 1958 on a 98cc James Comet, took my test in 1962. Used to ride day/night in snow, ice, hail, rain and (very occasional !) sunshine on the 150-mile commute to my military base on a Jawa 250. Still riding at 78 on my Moto Guzzi Breva 750.
@@chrisweeks6973 Nice! Ride safe my friend.
What is the round thing you have in the left side?
@@julianiribarren8518 It’s a Beeline Moto satnav.
@@BulletBeena do you reccomend it?
@@julianiribarren8518 I probably wouldn't want to rely on it for a massive trip, but for exploring and logging rides it's really good. Very minimalistic and doesn't look out of place on a classic looking bike. The newer version looks to have improved on it, with clearer directions and a larger screen. The battery life is seriously impressive. Lasted well over 30 hours of use before I charged it up for the first time and it still had around 40% battery left.
Brilliant !! another good video and funny at the same time Keep it up

Hello there, I don’t want to sound stupid but why do you want to decat your bike? What’s the reason, surly it can’t be to get more power, what difference will it make to a bike with less than a wind up mouse? 😂😂😂 ps the dogs probably think its a lawn mower 🤷🏼
@@TommieTrumper-TFC1200 It helps the bike breathe better and run cooler, which gives it a small boost in power but ultimately is better in the long run for the longevity of the engine.
@@BulletBeena I was just messing with you, I am all for cat removal coz F@ck the EU and their BS… a well tuned engine is much better for the environment long term than one chocked up and spewing into a heavy metal filter that has to be dealt with later….

I'm a lucky boy on both counts 😀
Re the stuck screws, get a reverse, or, left handed drill bit. I have struggled on with bolt extractors in the past, where the reverse drill bit has done the job straight away! You just pop it into your drill and run it in reverse, as it bites into the material, it will unscrew and extract the remainder of the screw. Just make sure the bit is small enough and you drill centrally so you dont knacker the thread.
@@ghostriderzzr7897 I’ll have to give that a go. Thanks 🙏🏻
Nice ride. I would agree that motorcycling is theraputic but that largely depends on where you are able to ride. A good network of B roads like that would be wonderful.
@@ralfhoffmann2487 That’s a valid point - a nice scenic route does help a lot. I do find that just being on the bike and out and about improves my mood, even if it’s riding through a town.

Nice little ride to blow the cobwebs away... Re trivia and the deer, the British mainland has around 1.5 million of them and here in Oz we have around the same number. However, we also have around 50 million kangaroos, plus 750,000 emus and 3 million wild camels, so our chances of hitting large wildlife are a lot higher. Hit a 'roo at speed and it can wreck the car; on a bike, it's goodnight.
