i didn't see his reaction after the 'NO VHAEGAR ' to be sad. the moment it happened he yelled no because he didn't even know VAEGAR can go rogue like that. but when they are falling down(arrax and luke) i saw the recognition of power, what he can do with his dragons. Even if he did not want to delete him, saying ' you owe me a debt boy ' and staying engaged in the fight when arrax spat at him fire. Aemond must have known that with his words and what arrax did, will affect VAEGAR. i can see regret the first 2 seconds while saying NO. but after that, it's like he really realized what he can do, how powerful he is. specially with his dragon. that's why he became a real unhinged in season 2. after all the years they laughed at him, and after realizing his power with the blade, and VAEGAR, he became much more pro-active because he knows he can take the throne ; the last seconds of his reaction are realizing the power he has and how dangerous he is.
