Hi Alexisxxxj i like to head out into the northern ontario wilderness in Canada along some ancient native canoe routes in the late fall just when the overnite temperatures hit just above freezing . Usually do 5 full hours of paddling in the day to the next campsite and set up before dark then make supper enjoy the stars if they are out around a nice small but cosey campfire. I have a single burner stove as back up in case of bad weather and sleep in a small tent . All my food is dehydrated unless I catch a pickeral perch bass or trout ..the areas are all heavily forested the waters are crystal clear and shorelines are mostly Canadian shield rock. Its not uncommon to see bear moose marten mink coyote or wolf though they shy away fom humans usually . Its amazing solitude and gives me time to unwind and think about life. No guns just axe and machete for firewood . Some mornings theres a thin film of ice on the water but melts usually after breakfast. Not always cell service and thats fine too. Snowaqalls right now some areas have 3 feet perhaps another 2 feet more in the next few days. Any ships ive seen are usually lake freighters in the Great Lakes between Canada and the USA.. i have a favorite spot where a guy sets up a fish and chip truck . The fish are to die for and the chips are fresh hand cut .. I love it ! Isn't life grand. Take care and god bless you
