Fixing a loose sagging door with a toothpick
This is a very easy fix to help a sagging loose door. Use a toothpick and place it in the hole to make up for the oversized hole. #homeownership #homerepair #homehacks #diy

Candle pot pint glass heater
มุมมอง 4810 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hello there beautiful! Here is another way to create one of those "tea candle pot heaters" if you do not have tea candles but instead something larger like a "Yankee Candle". These heaters are normally used in survival situations to keep you from freezing.

Genius 👍
Thank you this is a life saver
What kind of insulation did you use? And was it worth the cost of using insulation? I’ve been trying to do research this and it’s harder than you’d think. There’s a lot of contradicting opinions on the insulation for the exposed look.
I'm on my daughter's account. I'm no expert on Holley carbs. I only rebuilt one Holley carb and it was for a grain truck. But I've rebuilt a lot of quadrajets. But with your check valve missing on the primary side, I would've installed a new one just to make sure that wasn't the problem. That check valve helps keep the fuel from draining back into the accelerater pump so when you press the gas pedal the fuel is right there just below the squirter. Just my two cents. Nice looking ride.
I'm trying to take apart my oven door to clean between the glass and the screws are stripped. What would be the best way to go about this? I'm very dismayed.
Love this!
I put plastic on the outside of my windows instead of inside. Huge difference. But now want to do plexiglass so it can be permanent since overtime the plastic breaks down. I need new windows but can’t afford them so plastic on outside has helped me with keeping rain getting in cracks, and keeping drafts out and n both winter and summer cold/heat. Am looking for outdoor plexiglass install/seal ideas. Perhaps you should seal a windows from the outside and see the huge temperature difference versus installing on the inside.
Straight to the point, easy, diagram and all. Subscribed 👍
What are the fasteners called that attach the two railing boards?
I have a 750 double pumper and had a stumble as you were trying to accelerate driving at any cruising speed as i stepped on the accelerater it would stumble. Here what problem i had. The accelerator pump umbrella check valves were the cause. Change these out first it's the cheapest thing you'll do.
instead of drop ceiling you could do drywall. it's cheap too. You have a pretty square room and no pipes.
Thx for sharing
Hi. My problem i cannot screw back in air circulator fan cover no matter what. Now using tape. Any help
Valve grinding compound applied to the screwdriver also works
I was just thinking of doing something like this so I came to see if any one has done it. The only thing is I have an unfinished basement… but it looks amazing.
A long screw driver doesnt amplify your torque. You are losing torque....
sigh.
You blocked the day light too. This is simple enough. Thank you for sharing. My windows are a bit different (double glass and no fog yet inside) they open from top towards inside down and when you close them in the bottom channel where it sits inside the frame there is a draft that you can feel with your bare hand in winter time. How much draft so I can explain in temperatures I leave the basement around midnight at 70 degrees F and heat is off and come back in the next morning at 8.00 AM and the temperature is 66 degrees F so in 8 hours it loses 4 degrees (1 degree in 2 hours) not bad but if it can be prevented why not right. So those windows have hinges on the sides that can slide vertically up/down so I lifted the windows with the hinges half way up cleaned the bottom of the frame where it sits and measured the distance which was 28.5" and installed a 3/4 x 5/16 rubber foam by Frost King which is a self stick and lowered the window down to its place and that stopped the draft for me. I am just sharing if somebody else has similar issue it is an idea. I hope this helps.
That accelerator pump arm is way out of adjustment
OMFG i tried everything and when i searched how to unscrew a stuck scrwe i kept getting recommendation about stripped not stuck screws you are a life savior
Trying to find similar type 1/2” spacers . Thoughts?
Try cutting up the tube of a pen, depending on the material that might work.
I’m gonna try it.
I got a lesson on squirter size from a fellow racer, back in 1997. I had just built a 499 Chrysler B-1 engine for my ‘67 Barracuda drag race car. Carburetor was a Holley Dominator 1050 cfm with .038 squirters. Engine stumbled badly upon stomping in the throttle. I mentioned it to another racer, who had an identical engine and he remarked “BIG shooters!”. I asked him how big and he said .055 and .060, in cool weather. I installed the biggest I could get, which was .053, and it solved the problem. One word of caution, though. Some carburetors (most) Will siphon fuel out of the squirters at full throttle which really messes with A/F ratio. I had one expensive 1250 APD carburetor that basically would almost shut the engine off, I you stomped it hard. I put bigger squirters in it and it ran like crap going down the track. I had to raise the float level way up high, which made it inconsistent ET wise.
Thank you so much!
I want to do something like this for the old aluminum frame sliding door on our bedroom that goes out to a balcony. I put storm plastic on the outside, bubble wrap on the inside, caulked all the cracks and gaps, and put pipe wrap foam on the frame itself. But it still lets in a draft. So sorry of the several thousand it's going to cost to have somebody replace it, I need to do more.
Great job
wtf
Thanks all for the 1K subs! Hope all your fixing and building is going well!
Nice job! I’ll be doing some of these👍
I have been tempted to put plexiglass into frames made from slotted aluminum extrusions and seal them to the outside of the Windows to create triple pane windows. At 0 degrees C the furnace doesn't run. The Bedroom cools off too much due to the large surface area of the windows.
Awe
a longer screwdriver doesn’t give you more torque 😂
You are correct!
Oh, I love this. Nice dad. Nice!❤❤❤
Did you notice any difference in sound insulation?.
There seemed to be a little improvement.
I added 2 sheet of 3mm Lexan on double glass window. I seal Lexan with silicon glue. Yes, the sound insulation was increased with more then 10 dB.
@@user-ry7yg2hk7i Cheers, thanks👍.
Thank you bro
No problem
Great job, awesome kid too.
Thank you!
That looks awful.
I love feedback! please provide your invaluable knowledge on how to improve the design so others can learn as well!
I've thought about putting glass up instead of wrapping up in plastic. Thanks for showing me how I could do it😀👍 I've thought of just drilling holes in the glass and bolting them to anchors in window frame. E-Z P-Z
OH MAN!!!! I bought those by the dozens for my kids in the 1990's. I even built a track for them, we would race them 4 or 6 at a time like 3DBotmaker does now. I bought some N scale buildings and made them a little town and everything.
Oh micro machines I love those
Those things were so cool!
How did it hold up all winter?
A large improvement. The inserts took the nip out of the air.
@@mancavemaven2288 I will have to try it. Thanks.
Adding a little handle to remove it during summer though.
Never mind, I understand that the copper is only for long lasting stability of the tap…🤦🏾♂️
Can I substitute the copper for pex or shark bite connectors?
At point 2:43 your are referring to a book. Which book is that? and is it any good?
Thanks
That crown molding is a brilliant idea...
the flip over idea is awesome, thank you so much for your video mine just done with flip over style😇
Like your dimensions but the final product could use a bit of TLC. But if you want it done quickly, nice job.
Hey there, I just came across this video when searching for ways to dampen the sound between floors. We have just removed our drop ceiling for this look! What kind of insulation board did you use? Can you link to something similar or the product you used? There doesn’t seem to be much out there for this type of project. Thank you!
