How's she goin'? It seems to me diagnosing the fault is pretty easy some times, but actually changing the part is not so straight forward!!! What a battle to get to it and then make the electrical disconnections and then the reconnects. Certainly something you can do yourself, but it ain't easy eh! Nice job and you only bled a little!! LOL Take 'er easy!!

I think I got off pretty lucky. There are vehicles that require about 6 hours to replace an alternator. That is why I like the older vehicles. It would take me about ten minutes to replace the one in my 71 Chevy. I know my truck is a 2008 but I was surprised I had no warning. Good for awhile now. Thanks Mike. Stevo

I think they're making the cars and trucks harder to work on so you have to take them in over in the United States I heard a couple times that they wanted that lock the hood that you had to come in like the transmission in my Equinox you got to take the transmission out change the filter I still like the 70s and later cars and trucks but I am glad that you got it finished awesome job thank you for the video

The automotive industry is becoming evil. I am hearing nasty things all the time. They are definitely making it so the average guy can not work on your vehicle. There are only a few die hard's out there that still work on their own stuff. Glad my vehicles are still workable. Thanks. Stevo

My old skin tears like paper so every time I work on anything like that it looks like I was attacked by a bunch of cats...that's another thing I like about Subaru's.. the alternator it right up on top,,only takes 10 to 15 minutes to change it out.

The newer vehicles are getting tougher to work on everyday. They are designing them so you have to take it in. Glad to hear the Subaru is an easier fix. That is just common sense engineering. Thanks Vern. Stevo

16:55 it isn’t a successful repair unless you bleed 🩸. If you think you are done, and you have not bled, it isn’t going to work, you have overlooked something.

I am very glad I heal quick cause I would have bled to death years ago. If you are not bleeding, you're not trying. This was still not a bad change out unlike my 71 Chevy that would require about 10 minutes and only about a half of a beer. Thanks. Stevo

Good to hear from you. As far as I know, JB Weld is fuel resistant and I think they make some stuff for fuel tanks. I had a Beetle way back when I was young er with a hole in the block and I would plug it with JB and it would last a couple years before the oil would start to seep then I would do it all over again. With that bowl leaking, there are not that many options. So far so good. Take care Dave. Stevo

Good tip! However, you might have overlooked a potential safety hazard. In case of a fire emergency, anyone inside the shop could be trapped if the door gets jammed. I would recommend installing a metal U-shaped sliding bracket for the bars, secured with a safety pin. This way, anyone inside could easily remove the pin and lift the bars to exit safely. Keep up the great tips!

This was a good project. The best part of this build were the owners. When you have the support and commitment the project steams ahead. They have won a few awards with this truck and it feels good. Thanks for tuning in. Stevo

It took some work but it does look good now. It is always a bit stressful when you have never tackled a job like this. Thanks Vern, Stevo

Why did they want the whole stump on the trailer? I didn't watch the whole video.

Normally I would cut all the roots and make the job quicker but this root was buried upside down at a buddies acreage. It's art now. Thanks for tuning in. Stevo
