@abjem1 I am pretty sure I used all parts, including the spacer. Initially I wasn't sure which side the spacer would go, I installed it in the way I did but was never too confident if it was correct. @tyam6483 These sliders are not long enough to work as foot pegs and they are also very slippery. You may rest your feet for 30 seconds or so but can't expect anything more than that.

Bolt is 5mm diameter and 35mm length I found in my garage 👍

@Richard-dh8ny I think the sliders are more of a show piece. I didn't note any strengthening. Bars are solid though👍

Excellent, hope you never need to put them to the test. :) One last question, how comfortable is it to place your feet on the sliders? In any case you now have many options for mounting real highway pegs.

Hi Pat - good question 👍 6mm outside Dia 4mm inside Dia I had the tube in the garage for sometime. I don't remember buying it to be honest. It might have come out of something.... and hence very satisfying to put it to good use. Thanks for watching the video 👍

Thanks. As far as I know 2024 model is more or less the exact same as the 2023 model, different colour options depending on the region, but overall the same. So they should fit. If you are still in doubt, I suggest get a confirmation direct from GP Kompozit website. I believe they are a Turkish company. Good luck.

Interesting thought John - keeping the collector box or not probably will be an important decision in doing so. I think it would probably be easier if you get rid of the collector box. But in any case, it is quite a fiddly job, certainly one beyond the rims of my DIY capabilities.

Oh wow...at that time it would have only 5 years old. Yes, they are tidy little cruisers, and pretty much everything is so easily accessible and it is so easy to ride. Always puts a smile on my face. Did you ever regret not having that anymore after 1998?

No I didn’t regret it ,the position on the motorbike was too cramped with my legs.I have bought a Suzuki bandit 600 after I sold the Virago .That bike was better, 4 cylinder motor,more power and torque and better seating position to me

Thanks for reaching out. Lol, before my EU trip last year, I had the exact same feeling about RHS riding. But believe me, it only takes a few miles for our brain to adapt to the wrong side. These are great bikes. I am sure you'll enjoy the ride. Carbs can be a little temperamental. Some knowledge about removing, cleaning, and reinstalling would be beneficial. Cheers

it's a second hand rack I bought from one of the virago UK FB groups (£45 posted). it has 4 anchor points, 2 on top shock mounts and 2 on the metal frame bars under pillion seat. Easily takes about 10 kg I reckon. it just adds more functionality to your ride I think.
