I'll be sharing videos here of various projects and ideas I have in the area of glass fusing, and starting in 2023, my recent foray back into the world of papercrafting, especially collage and junk journaling. Be warned, my workspace is usually a crazy mess but I'm sure some other creative types can relate!
Quick Cleanup of the Taurus 3 Ringsaw
Just a short video showing how easy it is to clean the Taurus 3 Ringsaw even after it has sat for some time and the water has evaporated out. An important tip is to always take the saw out of the water bin when you’re done using it. This way the water isn’t degrading the blade or any of the grommets, etc.
If you’re interested in purchasing a Taurus 3, be sure to check for used deals or artist buyouts. They’ve nearly doubled in price since my husband bought mine for me for Christmas a few years ago. (Thank you dear! 💗) But it’s a great little tool and I highly recommend one if you want to be able to do intricate cuts in your glass, or really anything other than a straight cut like you get with a tile saw. It’s pretty easy to find replacement blades and grommets or any of their accessories where you buy your other glass tools and blades.
As always, thanks for watching! Please give this video a thumbs-up if you’ve found it helpful, and please hit that subscribe button!

Hydrangea Project - Part Two (Completed!)
มุมมอง 3646 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've completed the assembly of my Hydrangea glass sculpture. This might be my favorite project to date, I've had it on my mind and wanted to create it for quite some time, and it turned out EXACTLY as I had envisioned it. That doesn't always happen! In case you missed the first video, it showed the piece when it had about half as many petals. Link below. The petals and leaves were all individua...
Hydrangea Project - Part One
มุมมอง 3857 หลายเดือนก่อน
I'm working on a multi-step glass sculpture of a hydrangea cluster. I've had this envisioned for several months and it's finally coming together! The petals were made using a form of Pate de verre I learned in a class taught by Emma Varga in January 2024. The leaves were made using glass powder and fine grind glass frit on the metal NatureScape molds, and shaped using random molds and even side...
Inspirations & Aspirations: June 2024
มุมมอง 2017 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hi everyone, today I am sharing a short video on what kinds of projects I’m hoping to complete within the month of June. I thought this might be a fun series to do (hopefully) each month, kick off the month with ideas and things that have inspired me, and what I aspire to create within that month. Next month I can start with what I did in June and share what I plan to work on in July. It wasn’t...
LWAGA Quarterly Challenge: Partner Project with Jamaison Schuler!
มุมมอง 3957 หลายเดือนก่อน
Jamaison Schuler and I partnered in the most recent Quarterly Challenge in the Lunch with a Glass Artist (LWAGA) Facebook group ran by Larry Pile and his awesome crew of admins! It's a great group with many talented glass artists, I encourage you to check them out if you are also a glass artist. In this challenge, we both started with the same inspiration image and then each of us went and did ...
Aedea’s Journal - Final Flip Through
มุมมอง 163ปีที่แล้ว
I’m away from my glass for a bit more time but I’ve been keeping the creativity going with my paper crafting. My granddaughter Aedea is turning 11 next week (where did the time go?) and she is into all things Japanese. I scoured Etsy and Design Bundles to find some amazing digital kits and with the help of my Epson printer, my paper cutter, and some basic supplies I put together this journal fo...
Making Dichroic Dots for Wine Charms
มุมมอง 669ปีที่แล้ว
Have you struggled with getting dichroic dots to be, well, dots? As in ROUND? :-) I am having better success with them after trying a bit larger capping (or base in some cases, you'll see what I mean in the video.) The firing schedule I use for dichroic dots has a longer hold than my regular dots as well (schedule at the end of the video.) I hope you find this helpful, and as always, thank you ...
My Latest Fusing Adventure: Confetti Shard Flow (x2), Texture Fuse & Slump
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Wow that title says a lot... and a lot went into this piece, including many hours in the kiln between processing and cooling, and four complete firing cycles. I didn't share my full schedule in this one as it was four separate firings, and flows are something you may need to experiment with. If you are on Facebook, check out the group named Val Cox's Fusing Frit Workshop (link below.) Her gorge...
Thrift Store “Mold”: Maple Leaf Project
มุมมอง 697ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I’m sharing more thrift store fun finds that I’ve turned into slumping molds. The main focus of this video is the maple leaf I picked up last month for just $4.49! I have other examples at the end too. I’ve included the firing schedules I used for both the fuse and the slump, but please always remember that all kilns fire differently and you may need to adjust based on your kiln. ...
Super Quick Update!

Hello! I’ve been away from glass more lately but all is well and I just wanted to shoot a super quick update and pop on here and show you what projects are on deck. Thanks for watching!
My First Coffee Dyed Paper Experiment - Part 2 (Results!)
มุมมอง 163ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows the results of my first coffee dyed paper experiment. Be sure to see the slide at the end with things I learned. I’m loving how well the stencils worked. The plastic lace tablecloth not so much, but maybe if I cut it into page sized pieces vs. how I layered and stacked, I might have a better turnout. I also like how most designs carried through from front to back of the page. C...
My First Coffee Dyed Paper Experiment - Part 1
มุมมอง 189ปีที่แล้ว
Ignore the photo of the cash register tape rolls! That made it in by accident! I picked those up while thrifting to make snippet rolls like Margreth at Sevenplaza shared recently. Two videos in one weekend? Yup! Another short one. I’ve been admiring and watching videos on coffee and tea dyeing as well as eco dyeing paper and fabrics and I decided to jump in and try it! I’ve got some Alum and so...
And now for something completely different…
มุมมอง 214ปีที่แล้ว
A short video showing my latest papercrafting project. I found three of these promotional leather bound journals at the thrift store last weekend, new in cello for $2.49 each! Only a few pages in the front were promotional and I removed most, covering a couple in order to keep the integrity of the journal. The last decorated page is all washi tape and was the first lined page. I’m still plannin...
Combining Glass Fusing & Sublimation Printing
มุมมอง 1.6Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I am combining my love of glass fusing with the fun of sublimation! The design I used for sublimation is available from Design Bundles, here is a link: designbundles.net/enliven-designs/2487101-stained-glass-dragonflies-paper-backgrounds-digita#gtmList=30>mPos=3 This is not my original idea of applying vinyl to glass and then sublimating - I originally learned from a great step-...

My gosh, that's beautiful!!!
Thank you!
THANKS FOR THE DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the demo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this glass. I have it in my cart so I'm glad I came across this. I didn't know how it would fire.
What firing schedule did you use
Heads up, after a year, the glass on one of my boards completely popped off hitting the foam floor in my room so did not break but I'm so disappointed because I have already sold several of these :(
Oh no! I asked a friend of mine recently if she had any issues with hers I gifted her and it’s still fine. I have switched to using the Gorilla Clear Construction Adhesive.
Love your video. Thank you for sharing.
The finished pieces are gorgeous! I’m so glad that I watched the entire video.
Great video! Do I really have to fire into dots? Can I go straight to pressing a single shelf of bundles.
I love them all. Even the yellow ones.
Thanks for demonstrating the process. I wondered what pulling vitrograph was about
how do you make those glass pieces?
If you use something thin like wire and bob it up and down while swirling and never removing it from the glass, it should help a little when its a bit thicker/dryer. Then just slowly wiggle it out and it should be done, with a little less effort too.
Beautiful pendants.
Boa tarde professora, que tipo de tinta usa ?
What do you mix with Mica powder to create the paint?
Hi, I mixed with a powdered white flux I bought with the micas and A14 liquid medium, purchased from Kaiser Glass. (Barry Kaiser and his wife, her name escapes me at the moment.) But the last time I went to buy more it wasn’t on their website at kaiserglass.com.
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
Thanks so much for the tip about lifting the blade out of the water. I probably should have done a better job on reading the manual, it probably said that is what you are supposed to do.
Omg, used a rainy day 2 weeks ago and suffered thru cleaning my taurus and grinder, and scraping kiln shelves. Ugh So glad it's done I would never use leftover sludge from any tool, I don't get that. Thanks for the tips
It’s good to have a maintenance day now and then! And you’re very welcome!
I DON't USE MINE OFTENSO I CLEAN IT AS SOON AS I AMDONE. NOT SO MUCH WITH MY GRINDERS. LOL
Hi Jackie! I actually watched this after you put it out but today I was thinking about buying some Silke Mat to make some molds, and you know how it goes, you search for one thing and then you are down the rabbit hole, lol! Literally on a whim a few of years ago I bought a Cricut Air Explore 2 (or 3 cannot recall) and it is great for vinyl. I have not tried the 1/8th fiber paper and I know it is not supposed to be able to work on the Air Explore machines, so now I am looking at getting the new Maker! All so I don't have to keep buying a bunch of molds (as I can use Silke Mat as mold material for some small casting projects). Anyway, I am a huge fan of yours and always enjoy learning from your awesome videos. Thanks again!🥰
@@3PairDesigns Thank you so much! And you are very welcome, happy to share! I just ordered some more SilkeMat myself. I’ve never tried cutting it on the Maker, as I think it might be a little too thick, but maybe not… might have to give it a try, possibly with the knife blade. If I try it, I will share the outcome!
Great video. I am getting a new (my first) kiln delivered today. I have lots to learn!
Thank you, and congratulations! You will be hooked!
Way to go Jackie! Your hard work and patience is paying off ❤Congratulations on a gorgeous piece my friend. I stand inspired once again.
Thank you so much!
stunning! I love it Jackie ,
Thank you Stacey! It’s been an idea for so long but after taking Emma’s class I knew I had to try it!
Wow ! Jackie that is so beautiful and looks incredible delicate. It's always nice when it turns out exactly like you wanted it too!
Thanks so much Nannette! I was going to send you the link but you must have been notified! 💗
Beautiful
Thank you!
Beautiful
So creative and lovely
Thank you! 😊
Hi Jackie. Hope you’re well. Rewatching lots of your videos. Great resources and method info you give us. I appreciate you so much ❤
Thank you so much Sha!
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
That’s beautiful!
Thank you!
Very interesting. Thank you for the great tutorial. I wonder if I can use a slightly thicker fiber paper. Mcgill's has items here and there--I have found some great deals, but no fiber paper in 2024. I can't believe how prices went up over the past 2-3 years.
Some people just use well coated kiln shelves but I feel better with the fiber and paper. I’m glad I still have a lot of my big roll of 1mm. It’s sad how everything just keeps going up in price!
And thank you for watching!
Did you use a dam frame in this project. I’m new and I’m not sure the proper name to call it.
I used a 6” ceramic dam mold. You could use anSS former lined with fiber too. Or even no dam at all but then it will tend to spread to try to be 1/4” thick.
thanks
Top layer got more heat
Love it.
Thank you!
What a great idea to set monthly goals!
I hope it keeps me moving on projects and not stalling out! Sometimes I get downstairs and look at everything and just feel overwhelmed with what to do next, so this will help me pick a few things and just DO them! 😀
Is that cement board that you fired on? I been thinking about trying it as a shelf to fire.
It is the Armstrong Ceiling Tile, a friend of mine bought several pieces and I bought one from her. It works really well!
Love this video!! Do you have an svg? I'm a silhouette user.... thank you for sharing!!
Thank you! Let me check and see how I saved it (I think I do.) If so I’ll figure out where to share from and get back to you! Sorry for the delayed reply, just catching up today!
I love this!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing 😊
Beautiful! Can it then be slumped lumi side up?
Would you be able to attach the stems with a touch? I was just thinking maybe heat up the end of the stem and then push it onto the base of the flower. Just a thought, not sure if it would work
Fantastic video!! Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Thanks so much and happy to share! Still love this kiln.
Great video! Thanks SO much for sharing! Really helpful! ❤ Time to go thrifting!
Thank you and you’re welcome!
Thank you…. Does glass get scratched when used as plates, etc.? I would love to make a set of dishes but I’m not sure if it with get ruined by knives. 🐢
Ficou lindo ! Amei ! 💚🌻
