Our roads are traveled daily, so keeping the integrity of the roads are a #1 priority in every grade I do. All roads are different from one another, so no one type of grading will work for every road. Our neighborhood has 200 miles of roads to maintain, consisting of clay, dirt, grass, lime rock, asphalt millings and sand.

Quick look at a reshaped road 4 weeks earlier after 10" of rain!

Road was bellied and holding water so I reshaped the road 4 weeks earlier from ditch line to ditch line giving the road a crown and a place for the water to run off. We had 10" of rain 6 days earlier. I'd say it held up well considering a semi-truck driver lives on this road as well.

    Must be so satisfying to grade a corrugated road, I would love to try it one day. Well done sir! Do you know why dirt road become corrugated? Anyway have a nice day Evan.

    That had to be the most annoying editing, I've seen so far. I assume adults would be the main viewers, so the Ritalin quick editing technique should best be saved for kids.

    Do you notice you do not get much reviews as there is a reason, this is a video like I said that I would use to teach my class as what NOT to do , better do more research my friend ?

    • @EJRYON47

      Look, I grade about about 5 miles of roads every week. and I've been doing this for 10 years. You know what that is called ...experience., not sitting in a classroom telling people how it should be done! There are so many different variables that come into properly grading a road it isn't even funny. For example is the road dry, wet, grassy, sandy, clay, potted, wash boarded, rutted, I could go on and on. I build rap roads 3 miles long that are straight as an arrow and do it all by eye. There is never just one way to grade a road. My roads are always done with the integrity of the road first in mind. My roads never turn to sand and last month's before needing grading. RESULTS! Are the ONLY thing I go by! I've had grader operators tell me, oh you need to start on one side and make about 4 pass'. You know what that gives you here in FLORIDA! SAND and a useless road with all it's integrity GONE cause you just dried out all the dirt and it can no longer bond to the other particles of dirt. I've done my research! For the record I don't give two shits about reviews. You either like or you don't.

    Hate to tell you but whomever trained you trained you wrong as you are always cutting the centre and cutting the crown off plus if road is as damp as it looks let the traffic pack it and move on with more blading !

    • @briangraham540
      @briangraham540 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The more I watch the sicker the job is you are not plowing snow and at that speed you would not work for me long ! the video is about what Not to do 1

    • @EJRYON47
      @EJRYON47 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I have a fresh blade then yes, I would not have started in the center, but my blade already has a crown in it. This is a rural neighborhood so there's not enough traffic to properly pack the road.

    I grade quite a few roads in my neighborhood, including roads covered in 90% grass. If anyone has any requests for a video let me know. I have graded 6 miles of roads in a day. Not sure if that's fast or slow, I don't know any other grader operators.

    My boot was good so I had to figure out a way to get it out without damaging it. I had to remove the lower aluminum plate under the car, and use a looooong 1/4" extension and a socket and was able to get the clamps undone. Yeah, it was a real pain! As for the DISA, when it's broken as in my case, the flap lays halfway outside the hole and jams the DISA up so you can't get it out. Took 15 minutes to get mine out. Also, hard to tell in your video, but it looks like your strut towers might be mushroomed a bit. A common issue with the E46.
