Seaside but Still Docked is a band originating from Oslo, Norway, formed in the mid-1990s. The band’s core members, singer Alec Jakobsen and producer Vidar Lauritsen, began their collaboration by writing and performing a collection of original songs in small venues and pubs across Oslo. These early performances helped establish a modest yet dedicated local following.
In the late 1990s, Seaside but Still Docked expanded into a full band. The lineup featured Alec Jakobsen as the singer and acoustic guitarist, Kjetil Strømsholm on lead guitar, Bredo Bråthe on additional acoustic guitar, Anders Lindstad on bass and cello, and Ole Petter Lindstad on piano and keyboard. With these talented musicians, the band’s sound evolved, and they performed numerous gigs around Oslo, attracting a growing audience and further establishing their place in the local music scene.

Can you give us more information about Seaside But Still Docked? I found them 22+ years ago and they disappeared.
Thanks for your comment, @areimann. SEASIDE recorded and performed in the early 2000s and, as you mentioned, dismantled after only a few years. They were a local band from Oslo, Norway, that never really fulfilled their musical journey. The EP "TIME ONLY KILLS" can be found on streaming services and was their only professional recording. Many other tracks, however, were recorded as demos, i.e., songwriting material of basic and varying quality. Some of these songs will be re-recorded and released here on TH-cam. As for "disappearing," word has it that there will be a reunion this autumn, a small affair where some of the former members will perform at a private event. A more detailed presentation will be posted here on TH-cam in the not too distant future.
Found this song in the early 2000s, and it remains one of my favourites.

@@jesusreyes7619 Yes, it's the same band, although the group has been dormant for a long time now. For the time being, I'll be re-recording and posting some of the old songs here on TH-cam, along with some new ones. Most of the old stuff was hastily recorded back in the day, with little time and attention being paid to musical detail, precision, and sound quality, among other things. I doubt there is little there that is good enough for the commercial channels you refer to. Recording back then was simply a tool for songwriting, never really intended for a commercial purpose. So for now, stay in touch here on TH-cam. We'll see where this goes. Not sure whether the quality is going to be that much better, but hey, what can you do? It’s just music. Anyhow, should there be any developments, I'll keep you posted. Stay safe! AJ
