Al, We've had 3 of the blue flame heaters ( one right out of the box) that when they come on by the thermostat throw a fire ball either out the top or front several inches away from the housing of the the unit. They have been cleaned and they don't do it every time they come on. Of course we don't keep using them but we'd like to know what would cause that?
I have the same problem. What do you do about it?
@@sharonjackson5076 We took the one back that was just out of the box but the others we just stopped using them, and they are in the shed, and got new ones. We couldn't find anyone to fix them and the extended warranty i had on one did not help us. I will say this it seems to be mainly the blue flame ones that we've had trouble with. The ones with the radiant heat panels are not so bad and we also went to mainly manual heat instead of thermostat control. That way we are usually there if the heat is being turned up where it might be dangerous. We do have the panel kind in the living room that has a thermostat.
Can you show me how to adjust the pilot? My flame seems to be a little large. I took a can of air and opened it up and blew all the air out because my friend says that's possibly one thing that causes the flame to burn high. As I'm looking at it now. It has a blue flame but the very tip of it looks a little peach colored and it is higher than I would like it. So if you could show me I don't have the same one that you do. I have a gas heater but I think it is all about the same. Your inner workings looked about even with mine when it comes to the igniter at all
How do you adjust the pilot flame
I have no spark
Does the black button have to be on man or auto
How far off the floor should it be placed?
Quick question, my pilot flame is about six inches long, I'm using the mr heater regulator kit and I'm set up like you (20lb tank). Is the pilot adjustable?
I just got one and used it once. I liked it. I put a scrap piece of sheetrock, 1 1/2 feet X 8 feet, on sawhorses. Put the tape buddy on one end, for the tape to rest on while pulling it out and had a tape measure pulled out next to it, to know how much I needed to cut it. It worked well. IMO, having a helper work with you will allow longer/8 feet long pieces to be applied.
We use metal hoppers we’ve been using them for years on Saturday today. Just got here.
It is really great, vedio . More details it was . I learned a lot from your video.
Mine lights but a few seconds after the pilot flame looks and sounds like wind is blowing it out
You should have just cleaned the pilot itself it more than likely had dust debris in it.
muchuas gracias , excelente, entonces de deberian comprar hambas herramientas o existe una con las dos funciones?
What is the BTU rating for that heater? Or, BTU per brick? It's not mentioned on my older Glo-Warm heater...Thanks for the video!
Que bien explicado. Muchisimas gracias.
muy detalladamente explicado gracias suscrito 👏👏
Thanks, very helpful👍
Great job at showing how the TapeBuddy tool works. You might get one of our Scoop-n-Scrape bucket tools to try out. They don't scratch the bucket like metal scoops and clean the bucket better.
Buen video hermosa
I cleaned mine and it still isn't lighting. It's getting gas and a spark but it still won't light. Any ideas?
Mine did the same. I replaced the pilot assembly and got a Very low pilot flame. I would get it lit manually, turn up the heat, it would fire up, then go out after five minutes. Did you get yours up and running?
I just bought one. I hope I get as good of results as did.
Where do you buy glo warm anymore? Or did they go out of business??
What if the flame works but the blower doesn't? How do I rectify that?
Wonderful video. Very clear and really excellent camera angles and views. Your work is very much appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video :)
Is there something I need to clean to get the pilot and spark to work?
I would make sure the ignighter is clean and secured with bracket, with sand paper or steel wool clean the ignighter and bracket. If failed to spark, replace the ignighter, less than $10 to replace
Preciso y conciso, gracias
Me encantó este documental , la verdad es muy informativo!!! Me tengo que comprar uno de esos detectores para cuando cuelgue mis cuadros en la pared! Gracias!!!
he is very detailed on the steps and I was able to understand how to fix this type of problem with the gas heater!!! Thank you so much!
I jus put 2 up in my shop. Great lights so far.
My knob won't turn, just turns on pilot and off. Wont turn to light all the way up, but it will ignite.
You need to push the down and trigger the igniter. Keep pushing the knob down with the pilot lit for 15-20 seconds should see a blue pilot flame ~1 inch high. The sensor needs to see the temperature of the pilot flame, if the sensor does not see the heat of the pilot, the main gas valve will not turn on
Muy interesante ese producto. Donde lo puedo comprar?
En Walmart o Target
Me encantó este video, que buena idea lo del cobertor para el parabrisas!!! Muy informativo y útil!
I just bought one.. easy to install but the plastic covers on the LED strips fall off. Are those there for protection when packaging or what?
The plastic covers had come off my lights also, I think you can put a little bit of super glue to hold them in place
Note: Look at the video closely for the right style to use, there are two styles of these lights at Walmart, both are about the same price, you should buy the ones with the diamon plate style, these have advantages they have receptacles so the can be plugged into each other, and they do have flimsy cover that falls off
Great review! I think I’m going to buy a new shovel now.
@jeffrnld9 which shovel did you end up buying.
I loved this video! I finally found the secret to clean my son’s tennis shoes 😁
Wow!!! I love this video, I didn’t know there are so many different types of shovels! Very informative! Thank you!
I really like this presentation! I learned a lot! I didn’t know before that we can cut a screw to fit the size needed! Thank you so much!!!
Very informative! Thank you!!!
Mine ignites but when I release the button to turn it up to low or med, it goes out. I’ve tried holding it down on pilot for 30 seconds and even a minute before releasing to turn and it still goes out. What am I doing wrong? Please help!
I would say the first step is to do it for two minutes . If it is extremely cold it may need to be held longer . The second step would be to adjust the sensor into the flame more -by unscrewing the screw and adjusting it . If both of those fail. I would replace the sensor.
