At 02:08:52….my favorite line of this whole series. Lemmy is surely a piece of work, but this gives him some legitimacy, IMO.

My favourite listening for a long boring flight. The imagery is different to us than the people when it was originally broadcast. That makes it so good 😊

When the deep state planned to fake the moon landings they copied this script where the "space music" was heard on the far side of the Moon, and they encountered UFOs (they supposedly saw one outside the window while traveling towards the Moon and supposedly saw them parked on the Moon. Apollo missions didn't copy where the landing stirred up a dust cloud. That is because the fake Moon scene in the military hangar didn't have any fake powder to stir up.

Yes i to listened to it through the early Eighties , on my SHARP stereo music center loved how the ANGELS came through different speakers om my Hi Fi . It is a terrific series i would have loved to have it seen on the big screen along with James Follet's other work. He was a visionary and a great author.

I listened to this in the mid 50s. Would this be the original broadcast that was lost? I recall the starting announcement 'Journey into Space' being spoken with a deeper less insipid voice . It was followed by 'Written and produced by Charles Chiltern'. Years later, when the cassette came out, I was most disappointed by its version of the intro. David Jacob's version on the Red Planet was even more insipid. Ps. Why is Jet always so angry and dismissive?

Didn't take long for Lemmie to irritate.

David Jacobs voices always amused me. However his voice for Whitaker was suitably erie from the start.

The most unbelievable thing about this is that they actually took Lemmy to Mars in the next series.

I know this sounds ridiculous, because I am, after all, listening to Sci Fi/fantasy, but I found this story tooooo far fetched!🙄 Space Force series 1 was good but I prefer Jet Morgan with his crew and adventures. Thanks for sharing this .

Ahh, I remember those Saturday nights on the radio, Jet, Doc, Mitch and Lenny.... I was eight years old !

By listening I sort of expected the tardis to show up any minute, just so Charly, The Doctor and the bregadier could leave the planet. It's rather strange and refreshing to find known elements in unknown series.

When l was a child the wait between episodes of JIS seemed interminable. Wonderfully evocative.

Goodness me! I remember listening to this when I was a boy, and I’m nearly eighty now. No TV in those days, but when we sat in front of the fire as a family and listened to this on the wireless we could see it all in our mind’s eye.

Thank you for uploading these! I'm on my annual relisten of all of them. It's strange but your version has bits that my downloaded one (either from the cd or possibly the actual cassette tapes) doesn't have! Are there two versions? For example, when they get Jet and Mitch in from the fog, there's a conversation between Rogers and Lemmy that I've never heard before. My version, doc gets them in and Lemmy says, how are they doc? No rogers at all. There's been various points where I've thought it was slightly different. This is amazing to me as I must have listened to my version about fifty times now.

It may be the distant future but thank heavens the British middle class survived. Civilisation is safe!😁 great channel,this! All stuff I had on tape in the ‘90’s. Cheers👍

I just want to say. I love the Journey into Space so much no kidding I listen to them everyday. I'm a custodian in a school in Oldham Co .KY. Jet Lemmy Doc and Mitch get me through my nights. I listen to other stories too even si fi ones..but all the journey's into space are my favorite go to when the others start to bore me.. I thank you for putting them on You Tube . They save my sanity . I feel like I know each man personally. I've heard them all at least 100 times in the past 8 months or so. Whish there were more.😊
