my thoughts are the starters will be based on a historical french thing or maybe japanese but not likely. Since Sinnoh was based in japan and used historical japanese forms Rowlet= A ronin Cyndaquil= A spirit(i think) Oshiwatt= Samurott means Horn demon or something. This could meana the evo's could be something historical. Also could someone tell me if this legends game in the same time period as LA the buildings say sorta yes as they look the same as the main building in LA but the style they put it as (talking about the hollograms) make it seem more advanced than LA. Also so excited to see if the legends get true forms aswell can't wait to go through the game with my tododile .

I dobt this will happen for this game, but personally I want to see the sub types just rotate around the starter wheel, with the starters ending up as fire water, grass fire, and water grass. 1. I could see todidile ending up based off a moss covered swamp gator 2. Turtwig being a marsh that was set on fire, or said tank idea but it is fire type for the explosives 3. I have no idea what litten would be. Steam feels like a copout because of volcanion, but I like the idea of a cat cozying up with some hot tea in a french cafe

What if Litten evolves into a Fire/Water type Incineroar that looks like a badass pirate?

Seeing Litten makes me hope they do something like they did with Galarian Meowth where it has a whole new evolution rather than just a regional form.

Scorbunny and Fuecoco were my original starters but I had all 3 starters in my first playthrough on both games but they were the first choices. Not doing a Fire Starter this time as my first choice unless...It is a Kalosian Litten that differs from the one we know of. Fire/Fighting is overdone I don't want another mon ever again of that type lol so it's likely, Fire/Ground it is with Earth Eater as a Hidden Ability and make him more of a Defensive Tank. Litten will not be the starter friend. The 🔥 starter of Z-A will be Torchic because the Rooster is France's National Animal. Torchic, Froakie, and Snivy(The Grass Starter is up for debate so this is for that Gen 5 Remake Easter Egg but it likely won't be another Rowlet) all possible Kalosian Variants. They should redo Chikorita in all honesty it needs something like a new form that ends up cool and useful and it's name kind of sounds french so it would work.

Oh, ya know, except for the two most recent generations, which came out right after seventh gen; and considering SwSh came out a while before Acreus, that is far from being anywhere near as consistent as everybody's "favorite" type combo- fire/fighting.

Water Ice would complete the types that hasn't been used on Starters

I love all 3 gen 2 starters but my favorite starter still has 0 love if this is true. Chikorita needs some love too.

I thought this one was gonna be hard since Turtwig is my go-to starter for Sinnoh and Litten is my go-to starter for Alola, but Totodile not only being my go-to starter for Johto but also being my all-time favorite starter... My jaw dropped when the water-type for ZA was (hopefully) announced. I really hope this turns out to be official.😭

Honestly if turtwig is the grass starter option, I can see it becoming a grass/dragon or grass/poison type in its final evo! My reasoning for that is the legend of the Tarasque (the folklore one not the dnd one) comes from France, and its described in myth as having a turtle like body and poisonous breath :)
