I own the original Escalade they used to film the 1999 escalade commercial. It's the first Escalade in history to become a registered collectors item. I replaced nearly every single steering component, and 2 wheel alignments to get the steering wheel to line up with the wheels and stop pulling to the right. Not untill I put over sized tires and a lift did the steering stop doing that nonsense. Not sure if you still own your 99, but that's how you fix it lol😂

Another consideration for you might be the benefits of simplicity of a V-twin over a V-four. Double the number of valves and fuel/intake pathways, ignition coils and plugs, and the physical location of the fuel injection makes V-fours more complicated, and therefore more expensive to maintain. You might want to consider a 1700 cc Road Star instead. Just somthing to think about.

we had an '88 Aries. Bought it brand new and had it till 94. I drove it hard and it lasted when we donated it to my uncle. I remember at 85mph the whole car would shake and vibrate. The interior was pretty plush for being a cheap car.

Awesome find. I have found the same 1996 i30t with far more miles but it does have the 5spd that ill be checking out today. Ive owned several 4th gen maximas only manuals and its had to believe that it only makes 190hp. Feels like more, plus the reliability is just unmatched. Its unfortunate about the rust issues that you mentioned that are very true.
