From 2000 to 2024, I have been fortunate to capture the activities of the University of North Alabama Bands. I recorded thousands of hours of performances. I wanted to create a channel where I could put these wonderful performances on display for the UNA alums and fans. And, I've been actively archiving performances recorded by others from 1974 through 2000. This channel is NOT connected with the University of North Alabama, nor with the University of North Alabama Music Department.

In her senior recital, Della Smithson (trumpet) along with Solomon Heinkel (alto saxophone), Ethan Younger (bass), Hollis Edwards (drum set), and Simon Edwards (piano) perform "Strasbourg St. Denis from Roy Hargrove: Earfood" by Roy Hargrove. This was recorded on April 25, 2024 in the Recital Hall, the University of North Alabama.

It’s the behind the scene stuff that really gets interesting. During the drum solo, I busted a head on one of my timpani and had to play the rest of the clinic with only three timpani. Luckily it was the next to last performance of the season and didn’t have to worry about replacing the head until later on down the road.
I love hearing the POD from the 80s!!! I was a HS fan back then. I lived my dream by being in the POD from 92-95. The golden age of UNA football. Roar Lions!!

I lived directly behind the Burke Tarr stadium site for 3 years. You should have seen the old stadium, or be glad you didn't. It was decrepit and only had one side of bleachers.They were thrilled to get the new one. It is not a short trip from Florence to Jefferson City, TN, from personal experience.. Glad they let you play after the game.
