@dmsampson This was diagnosed by a different service provider but mainly there was a direct short to ground through the relay board.

Well it sounds like there is an internal leak that may have damage some of the circuits. You should contact F'real to have them locate a service provider in your area .

Hello it sounds like there maybe an issue with the door switches or possibly the touchscreen could have a loose connection or the touchscreen may need to be replaced.

@deanroyhicks5027 Most manufacturers recommend a max line run between 100 to 150 ft. These lines were so long because the store owner moved the BIB boxes from the back room to the front so he had all of that slack, so I just replaced the full line set instead of using the same lines, that way at least the lines and connectors are new and the system is sanitized.

@shakearahdecuir5647 I have seen some people secure their slush machines with stainless steel brackets that wrap around the feet of the machine and screw the brackets to the counter top. Bunn doesn't offer a security kit for this type of situation so most people with food trucks kind of figure out securing by trial and error with diffent types of brackets and bolting them to the counter. @Joelbri2006 After seeing everything you have checked and replaced I can only think that there must be an issue in the firmware menu, because its only doing this with one item. I would check with tech support to see if they can confirm that because I really can think of anything else. Keep me posted on the out if you don't mind.

@latcommercialrepair i need to correct myself. I replaced the upper & lower temperature probes not the heating elements. My bad, long story short. Tech support was bamboozled by this as well. They were the ones who suggested replacing the main board & probes. Now they want me to replace the touch pad. But at this point the customer went ahead & approved the replacement of the unit at this time. Tech support also stated they have been getting a lot of calls like this where the chicken just stops cooking 🤷‍♂️. I thought i would let you know👍👍

@Alejaja97 Yes this is the recommended test from TurboChef. Some people use the continuity test but that doesn't really show you if the polarity is off so its best to use the 9V battery test.

@sunburn3358 Good question and no there is not a code that indicates a failed diode. If you have a issue with blown fuses, it will probably be the 20 amp fuse and that is part of the high volt circuit so that could be issues with the HV transformer, magnetrons, and waveguides but you should test the diodes also because a bad diode can be what started the whole issue if the polarity is off because its allowing voltage to travel in both directions. @@Alejaja97 Hi yes if the white insulator for the termainal is missing, it can cause the heater to short eventually against the frame.

@@Alejaja97 For your amp test I look for between 14 to 16 amps. Each side should give between 7 to 8 amps independently.

Here’s one for you I got this turbo chef blowing control boards left and right. Called tech support plenty of times. Each time different and replaced what they said but still blowing the I/o board. Heats up to 500 ready to cook as soon as you push to cook something the screen goes blank and flickers an then the control board relay blows it’s the yellow board con 3019. Have you come across something like this let me know

​@christopheralvarado351 Wow! That is a great one and no I have never run across that. I am not sure what model oven it is but I am assuming its a Bullet model or an Encore model, and I am not sure what part they had you replace but from your description of how its blowing the board it sounds like there is a short in the touchpad or the display board. If you can get back to me and let me know the model of the oven , then I can probably help figure out whats causing that board to blow like that. @ it’s and encore 2 model. The newer model but with the glass relays on the right side of the unit.

@tphpwalker If its caught early the tiles can be steam cleaned and vacuumed. Since this has been sitting for a few days, the tiles will have to be replaced.

Hello, my apologies for the connection issue on the video. I appreciate you letting me and I am always working towards making the better for viewing. As far as your nozzle leaking issue, you can change out the complete faceplate or replace the SDV Rebuild kit. At times the nozzle will drip a little product after dispensing but if there is a steady dripping I suggest replacement of the faceplate assembly or the SDV Kit which replaces the inner valve body and seals and then make sure nozzle cap is secure and spring loaded. Hey James, I'm glad this was helpful . It is possible that the machine could be low on refrigerant but I would check the torque/ temp readings without the hoppers on and see if you getting between 0 to 4 on the torque on both sides. If your not you will want to replace your shaft assemblies and a PM kit and then see if you start getting a better freeze down . I not then you will then need to see about having a tech test your system for a refrigerant leak. Keep me posted on your progress Brother . Thanks for watching!

@jameswarren4747 Hello James, you should make sure both sides are in the ICE mode. They should both say ICE on the display in all CAPS. I will be doing a video called HVACR Tech Talk soon and I will go over your question and give some more answers for you on that issue. @latcommercialrepair Thanks. They are in Ice mode and the torque numbers are in range with the black square next to them. There are no codes popping except for a seal maintenance code. Could the seal you replaced in the front prevent freezing?

@jameswarren4747 That seal message could be part of the issue it sounds like your machine is going into freeze mode but it seems like the solenoids on either side are not opening up. If your display is showing the solenoids are open with the full highlighted section next to your torque/ temp numbers then remove the left panel and place the tip of a slotted screwdriver on top of each coil if you feel a pull on your screwdriver tip the coils are open and refrigerant is flowing. Make sure the condenser fan is turning and not stuck, if the condenser fan is turning and the coils are open the you may have a low charge . Meaning there maybe a refrigerant leak . In that case you will need to connect Refrigeration guages to the access ports to check the pressures. Your pressures should be at least 35 to 40 psi on the low side. I hope this helps some.

If the cooling cabnet is not getting cold the unit will go into a shutdown. There are multiple issues that can cause this. It could be a temperature probe issue, a water pump issue, it could be that the compressor switch is not turned on. I would first check those things first. Usually if there is a pump issue you will find that the water bath will freeze up completely because the pump is not circulating water . I hope that helps some.

@Getsober4life I want to add to your diagnosis of your JDF-2 question. If the compressor is not starting up, you might want to first check the water level in the water bath. You can see the water level by removing the front panel at the base of the machine. Look at the water level at the clear tube that connects to a tee fitting that has a drain line connected to the other side of the tee fitting. The water level should be at the bottom of the Tee fitting of the tank tube, if it is not, then the water must be filled up to that level in order for the compressor to come on. I hope this helps.
