A short video showing a couple of improvements in the Kosciuszko Park that I noticed in November '24.
First is a new bridge over Bogong creek, across from the Cascades car park, on the Alpine way. The last one was damaged by a torrent of debris some time ago, and a temporary bridge has been in place since then. The new bridge is high and dry, and should last for ages. This gives access to the Dead horse gap track, leading to the Thredbo Top Station.
Second is the completion of a car park servicing Porcupine rocks. There is a thoughtful turnaround point with parking area adjacent. To get there from the Kosciuszko road at Perisher Valley, we turn up the small road next to the Man from Snowy River hotel. I didn't see a street sign directing us up there yet.
The Bullocks flat to Perisher Valley track was still closed when I visited in November '24, but was scheduled to be open for 2025.
