12:27 End Of Part One.
I was 9 years old....wish i could turn the clock back 😢
The departing airport scene; even brings a gulp in my heart! Shame they cancelled Martha as the three ladies of the snug were vital.
Oh what a surprise; Mollie Sugden is Mrs. Harvey!
It was a birthday episode for me. 😊

Albert slurping
Didn't Ena take the picture of her husband with her when she went to America?
Yes, I spotted that too.
I don't know why people think Ken is boring. He's certainly not as colorful as other characters, but, in a show with Ena, Elsie, Len, and now Dave Smith, you need someone who's the voice of reason. I loved the episode in which Ken and Len got into a fight over the article Ken had written. In spite of that, they made up. It shows a level of maturity on Ken's part. Sure, he's a snob, but every character has a weakness.
I love Ena and Hilda.
Did I miss something? Why is Dennis Tanner living in Len Fairclough’s house?
Is that Ena’s nephew in the beginning of the episode?
Good episode. Thanks for uploading. Really enjoy these vintage episodes. Great casts and scripts.
Thankyou for the upload
And then many years later Frank came back as Deirdre"s beau Phil Jennings. They kept scenes between Jennings and Bet to a minimum except for one brief and telling exchange.
Coronation street on the day I was born
Happy belated birthday 🎉
Don't you think that Maggie and Elsie's sailor friend look very alike especially around the mouth?
The Roman numerals below “Granada Television” before the programme starts suggest that this was a 1969 episode.
Harry Hewitt being crushed to death by a car on Elsie and Steve Tanner's wedding day in September 1967, would suggest that you are incorrect.
@@eat_a_dick_trudeau I defer to your knowledge of the events and that therefore the episode itself is from 1969. However, I assume you agree that the Roman numerals at the start are MCMLXIX, i.e. 1969. So, it is a bit of a mystery to me, unless I am too short-sighted and the numerals are MCMLXII, i.e. 1962. Merry Christmas!
No it's 1962 as Harry and Concepta just had their baby but it's listed out of sequence as far as I can tell
Dedinitely 1962. The cast very different in 1969.
Stan n Albert is like 2 cons conning each other
I thought irma was born in September 46
An American knows how to pronounce Boggart Hole Clough?
Wow, this takes me back, I was 14... ( Ian Shaw ) got paid £20 for four episodes and my agent took 10%, leaving the princely sum of £18 😂 still got some of the scripts somewhere.......
3:03 this is the first ever appearance of the actress who played blanche!!!!!!
Marvellous, Violet Carson's face after Albert Tatlock's Vanity quote. She looked like a stewed prune, but oh what a wonderful smile she had when the child played Glory Glory Hallelujah. What a stupendous actress she was.
