I cut out Alan Price and Georgie Fame.
because the price of fame is far too high.
I also cut out the Irving Davies Dancers again
as they became my personal objects of hate
while watching the episodes.

Groucho at 81 is certainly diminished in range, but even reading almost of his lines in the estate scene he has a couple of perfectly timed rejoinders.

The dentist scene killed me.
At 9,min 12sec,,,, me and my mates were actually there that day 14 yrs old then , as I live in the area, still live there today 66 yrs old now, its was like yesterday as spike Milligan & Marty Feldman , played football with me n 3 of my mates , they had us in stitches they were rubbish at football,but made it very entertaining May they RIP , so glad I found this video of that day childhood memory,,,, 🤣 👌👍

The version of the dentist sketch taped for the American version of MFCM had Feldman as the dentist and Spike Milligan as the patient.
Not sure if that's correct, they had the same recordings. Perhaps you're thinking of another sketch. Or another program? This sketch is originally from The 1948 Show.
@@TheMontyPythonMuseumOnline It was definitely MFCM. They must have taped alternates, once for PAL and again for NTSC.
@@antoniod You know, I'm not at all certain. It's just that I saw two edits of this episode already, and they had moved sketches around, but that was it. Why cut out Roger Moore, after all! Much more likely they were guests on a different program, maybe a talkshow and did the sketch there? Marty was very often on the Dean Martin Show. (Graham Chapman did the same, I mean he also repeated a few old sketches on US talkshows.)

My best Christmas gift ever to find these German dubbed episodes of the 'Marty Feldman Comedy Machine'. I had looked for it nearly 50 years, since I had seen it at German TV in the early 70ies. Many, many thanks to Peter, Paul and Marty !!!

What a find for COLOSSEUM fans! Two songs, both played live: A short "Tanglewood '63" (04:40) and a very rare "Upon Tomorrow" (36:00) which as far as I know was never released on an album til the 6-CD-Box Transmissions: Live At The BBC came out in 2020, with a version of this song from the BBC Radio 1 show SOUNDS OF THE 70s on September 10th, 1971, shortly before the first split of the band. "Upon Tomorrow" is perhaps the most extreme example of Chris Farlowe's virtuosity and range. What a joy to see my favorite band on the same show as the great Orson Welles!

We did not get a chance to see this show back in the 70's. After only a few editions, ITV yanked it off the air and replaced it with repeats of The Benny Hill Show.

Oh by the way, all episodes of Spike's "Oh In Colour" were on youtube a few months ago. They were deleted, but people saved them at home. Just saying.

@@peterpaulandmarty2009 A very useful word to know! No it does NOT exist in the UK, I wish it did! Although, then I'd spend too much money! France, Holland and Belgium have something similar to the German Mitschnitt system, luckily. So in fact I would be able to get the Marty interview from Holland, but I think the start is missing and it wouldn't be wise to upload openly. In any case it would be cool to find the other interview episode because it was presumed lost. (By the way, WDR said YES we have that Sherlock Holmes, I was very surprised, and then it turned out they were confused with one from nearly twenty years later! Well, 1968 or 1986, that's ALMOST the same, right?)
