Another great tool review and demonstration from The Saw Dust Dude on the Dewalt Shears.

About this item:
Able to cut up to 18GA material
360 degree swivel head for maneuverability
Connects via standard 1/4-inch hex shank
Compatible with most 18V-20V impact driver and drills, but I really recommend using this with your impact driver!

@ thought I already was, I’m on the waiting list for the union in my area. Spring time will be here before I know it!
The board you replaced looks to be sitting directly on the ground. 1) Don't you want to leave a space between the board and the ground so moisture doesn't get trapped there? 2) Because it was sitting on the ground it was supporting itself while you nailed it back in. What do you do in the case of boards other than the lowest row, other than have another person hold it up?
@@Caveman1003 Thanks for watching. 1. Bottom board, there was flashing back there plus you have to match the existing boards so it doesn't look like a patch. 2. You can place screws or a board to hold it up so you can work. Great question. Good luck on your project. Thanks for watching and please Subscribe 🍀🍺

I have this exact situation and feel ready to replace the boards in questions after watching this. I also have this particular siding which is the Hardie plank beaded cedermill lap siding. None of the big box stores seem to have this exact woodgrain & beaded combo available (either no bead or smooth/beaded are the only available). Any tips on where to source this? So many sites ask for my company and account # but I'm just a humble DIYer
That is the hard part, finding older stock. You'll probably have to find something close. Or you can take a piece off of your house that is not so visible and use the non matching stuff to swap out (hope that makes sense). Good luck on your project, thanks for watching and please Subscribe 🍀🍺
Hey I got a question was wondering how I can mount a rail on top of a split level 2 stair deck but just have the rail on the top part of the stairs. That would be going horizontal across but leaving an opening to go down the two stairs on the ends. do I use screws or bolts to mount to the floor?

I've had one for a couple of years and use it when I camp, which is alot lol. It'll cut 6 inch logs up pretty easily, especially pine. I typically cut 4" for campfire. Saves me from having to carry gas in the car around the States.

Very informative video. I have a cedar log home and want to fill checks but I'm concerned about color matching to the existing stain as I don't intend to stain or paint after just fill checks... that's it. When these caulk products dry and I've found a caulk that is as close to the stain I have does the stain dry darker in color or the same as when it's wet. What brands of backer rod do you recommend? Thank you. Gilda
