LEAKING TRANSMISSION-Toyota 3.5 V6
Where to purchase the o-ring: www.ebay.com/itm/355322010505
I crawled under my Toyota 3.5 liter V6 in order to replace an O2 sensor that went bad. While doing so I noticed my automatic transmission was leaking red ATF fluid which made me start to worry. Luckily, after further investigation, it was a simple O-ring that needed to be replaced. In this video I show what steps I took to correct the problem. This is the same engine that is in many Toyota's including the Camry, Avalon, and Lexus ES 350 etc.

Hit That Witherspoon engine degreaser first, hose it Witherspoon the garden hose, let dry and pour a capfull of atf over the seal. Let it set for 15 minutes before you pull/ twist. Don't break the vss... 😮 always treat,an a/t exposure línea a wound... 1 grain ofrece sand can 😢 make the difference between slippage due to main pressure drop😊.

Very helpful! Thank you! Tip for anyone else doing this: I used the same Wix filter as in the video and it was hard to keep the gasket lined up perfectly while fitting it against the transmission. I ended up pressing all of the bolts through the pan and gasket holes (gasket holes are smaller in diameter than the bolts so the gasket will hold them all in place securely) then put the pan up to the transmission and bolt on.
