The architects at Wadia Associates have built their portfolio of work with magnificent new houses, sympathetic renovations, and additions to historic homes accompanied by interior and landscape design projects. The firm's principal is the world-renowned architect Dinyar Wadia, who personally oversees each project from start to finish. While primarily centered in Fairfield County, Connecticut, an area entrenched in architectural history, work has taken Wadia Associates further afield: New York, Rhode Island, Colorado, and California. Recently, Wadia opened a new office in Palm Beach and is at work on several projects in Florida. The goal of Wadia Associates is to produce timeless architecture that is informed by traditional design and history while incorporating all of the needs and technologies of the modern world. This Vienna, Austria home from Wadia Associates is all about the details: beautifully proportioned windows in the classic Viennese style, bullseye dormer windows, a classic hipped roof, and columns and pilasters made of French limestone. The light fieldstone walls add texture and look fantastic in the morning and evening light. This is a good example of French neoclassical architecture.

Beautiful! How about the interior?
Oops. Sorry to dampen the love fest but this looks very familiar, predictable and meh. Reading the description I thought this would be a "classic Viennese style" house but it ends up being another Frenchified McMansion--even the verbal description states "good example of French neoclossical architecture" which is definitely not Viennese and also definitely not accurate. Please be more careful with your historical references. This is not French Neoclassical--it's not Neoclassical at all. If the text did not state Vienna, Austria, I would have guessed the location to be Houston or Atlanta or Surrey or Shenzhen or, even more likely, an AI composition that resides only in the computer. Why not take inspiration from the greats of "Classic Vienna" such as Schonbrunn Palace or Belvedere Palace? Or if this architect had dared to experiment with something more challenging how about attempting Otto Wagner or Adolf Loos? Wouldn't those sources be more appropriate for Vienna instead of faux French? All is not lost; as Frank Lloyd Wright said, "You can always plant ivy."

Stunning house but what about the interior because if the interior is as stunning as the exterior it could have a wow effect.
Beautiful. Only thing I would change is to make the Garage side entry. Don't like seeing them on the front of a house. Nonetheless, this is Stunning.

How many bedrooms? How many bathrooms? How many powder rooms? What is the square footage? Are the fireplaces gas or wood burning? Does the home have a 3-car garage or can it fit more cars? How large is the property (i.e. 1 acre)? What is the cost of the home? Give me details. Don't just show me a poorly done short video that is incomplete at best... From what I can see, the home is spectacular. But I don't know where the house is located because the video did not tell us. Maybe the house is located in fantasyland.

I'm sorry but that house is an insult to French Chateaus. The balloon framed structure and peel and stick rockwork doesn't make a French Chateau. This is a typical McMansion with "french inspired" design, but completely misses the mark.
Explain what details are insulting to you? And how you can tell what masonry was installed here? And my opinion is that you are being way over the top by calling a $20+ million dollar custom designed home a McMansion. Why abuse the term?
