What didn’t you like about the truxedo pro15?
@@jamesfasanella4114 Cons: the fact it was fabric, less security especially when I had things in the bed and parking in the city, sides could easily be opened, having to stretch each side when closing so that the fabric was tight, order of closing the tailgate (tailgate first then cover), price for what it was. Pros: when folded it was a small tight roll that barely blocked the back window, unlike the hard roll up which blocks half the back window but still better than a tri-fold which blocks the whole window. Also the pro15 was easily removable which was nice. Left more room for larger objects to slide into the bed since it rolled tighter.
I bought this one as well after seeing your videos. Hope it holds up better than my soft cover did! lol.
@@eonr2499 soo far so good but honestly I didn’t have any issues with the Truxedo soft rollups quality, had it on since January 2022.. only after parking in Manhattan and seeing someone easily lifting the side of the soft rollup to look into my bed did I want a hard rollup, but also didn’t want to pay $1,400 lol
How long does it take to remove entirely or can you still put a 4dt wide sheet in it with the rail on.
@@jeremylamarch2383 yup I still haul 4x8 sheets same as if there was no cover in place
A little late to the party, but awesome video! The algorithm did its thing well today. I had been looking at getting one that is exactly like this one for $350. I hated Ford's version so much. Turns out Amazon had it for $140! Placing my order now!
Looks great! I went with the Rough Country tri fold for $750. Nice to see some options for these trucks.
Any updates from the last two months?
@@kyleplatfoot985 still holding up great, had a tiny bit of water get in once a bunch of snow was piled on top but it was mainly from the side.

Master vinyl wrapper here. You didn't apply the heat soon enough and that's why you have creases. As soon as you laid on the vinyl overlap you should have applied heat instead of trying to work it without it that's what caused your problems.
You should probably roll it up so we can see what that looks like.
You're a life saver!
Great design which could fit 2 dirt bikes as opposed to the Ford “V”design
Just watched your video an will install my catch can today on my Maverick
Nice man that looks tight!
Is that a blackout edition?
Where did you get the vinyl logo from? Thank you.
what means " cancer " on the back of oven ?
21 mins just to install tiny little stickers 😅
How watertight has the TLAPS been? It looks like water would pool on the cover and seep into the bed.
@@daniel3272 it’s 10x better than the softcover I had which actually allowed water pooling, this is a HARD cover so nothing can pool on it and my bed is pretty much bone dry during rain.
Does it come with drainage tube?
@@jesseolivar9132 it does
@ yes, there are two tubes that get installed, one on each side against the cabin/bed wall
@ Does that require drilling? Your truck looks great by the way. Just ordered so hoping it works with drop in liner.

Read the reviews, both web sites do not go to the product. One goes to a company that has many orders unsent and no refunds. Scammers apparently.
@@brianseeley498 yea I don’t make or sell this.. I made this for myself and some people asked if I could send them the instructions and if they could sell it and I said go for it. I made nothing from it.

How do the sides latch down? Is it just velcro and are you able to pull it up from the sides? How water resistant is it?
@@WiseWrench there are latches that come out that grab onto the aluminum. You pull the wire to disengage them so you can open the cover. You can only access that mechanism when the tailgate is down.. So far we only had one day of rain and my bed stayed bone dry. I’ll maybe make a more detailed video, just figured most people were familiar with hard roll up covers.
@@WiseWrench if you watch at the 00:49 mark you’ll see me pull the wire that disengages the cover latches from both sides
@@nomnomtech4070I see the latches towards the tailgate I was wondering if there is something along the sides to keep them secure or just the Velcro. Like if you went inside the bed and pushed up on the side is it just Velcro securing it?
How much for the soft one?
@@nys3121 hey, I’ll probably let it go for $250.. it’s the Truxedo Pro X15
It's held down with Hook and Loop (I highly doubt it's VELCRO®). HARD pass. Just let the thieves right in. You're comparing Mac PowerBook Pros to Best Buy's cheapest laptop of the week. It's an invalid comparison.
@@JasonCreager first, you’re acting like someone is forcing you to buy it lol and second, I share things with the Maverick community that they can find useful for a better price and same quality, and no this isn’t any affiliate link or me making money from it like you idiotically suggested on Facebook. Many “brand name” rollups use Velcro, especially the soft rollups, some hard rollups do as well.. I’d rather have Velcro than not.. and this is 10 times safer, better looking and secure than a soft roll up, anyday!
Don’t be a dick. Don’t want it fine. I personally might get one. I live in a good area and have worked hard to get here. I’m not worried about theft more than just convenience and price. Don’t be so negative just go enjoy your life.
Squeegee, warm that up before to stick and work in a circular way from the center
yea that was my first time doing something like that, figured i record it to show my mistakes and maybe others could learn from it
How well is this holding up after 2 years?
Curious how this emblem holds up to car washes
So I just saw a test of a European version this oven done by a German guy. So he used the automatic napolitan settings, 400C top and bottom 2 minutes, and the result was pretty perfect. I've seen other testers going free style (manual setting) and they have identical problems as you guys. Maybe you should give the auto settings a try :)
Where is this video?
@@zarfilg I have the new EU version and it is really good, just wait until preheated and then it's really hot, up to 850 F. The timer does not effect anything, it's just a timer no switch. Wait 5 minutes between 2 pizza to heat it up again.
@@zarfilgsearch for "unold luigi" that is the name over here
Would you prefer this or the ford official one if they are the same price?
I been using chefman oven for awhile. New York pizza is dead on ,but far as making Neopolian Pizza its just alright. You get what you pay for. Thats why i decided to get the Ooni electric oven. Price is steep ,but so far its the best indoor electric oven out there.
I have it and you just have to reduce the lower heat to your liking, perfect pizza 😊
@mobilfone2234 nah... it was a junk. I got my self Ooni Volt 12. Can't say enough about it... makes real neopolitan pizza.
@@solo022667 mine is the new version 230 Volts for Europe that goes beyond 850 F, works great when you reduce the lower heat 😊
Lots of poor info out there, here's a good example, yes a catch can is essential for Ford Ecoboost engines to help them run for long miles without clogging the intake valves, this issue is due to the use of the turbocharger boosting the intake pressure hence increasing horsepower from the engine and increasing piston blowby, along with the change from port fuel injection that would clean the intake valves to direct injection. Problem is, there is no way for any of us average folks to know whether these catch cans actually work unless we were willing to remove the intake manifold after many miles and actually look to see if the intake valves are getting clogged. Barring that, the best we can do is the best possible job with a catch can, and that means installing one on the high side (PVC side down on the front side of the block) and yes you can also put one on the low side as shown here (top valve cover hose) as an added plus, but the PCV side is a must for a catch can. Other youtube videos go over this type of install, not really hard to do at all. And most importantly, the air returning to the engine must be filtered and these cheap catch cans from amazon have no such filter. If you're going to bother to install a catch can, skip the cheap Evil Energy junk, and instead be sure to use one with a decent quality brass return filter such as found on the Mishimoto universal catch can, yes it costs over $100 just for the can and two connectors, but it is high quality and has a very good brass return filter, spend a bit more money now, save thousands later, simple. And BTW, the PCV hose connectors you will need in order to do the install on the PCV side are readily available from UPR Products for just $10-$11 each (I looked everywhere for these, finally found them). My total cost for parts was $115 for the can, $25 for 8' of good quality hose from Autozone (cheap hose will collapse when put under vacuum), $10 for hardware and clamps, and $25 for the connectors with shipping, total cost $175, very high quality install that can be trusted and relied upon, and far less than some of the other kits out there. UPR has a full kit for the high (PCV) side for $150 with all the connectors, also a full kit for the low side as well, same price, but not sure if those utilize a return filter in the can such as found on the Mishimoto can.
You cooked most of them whilst the oven was pre heating and not up to temp! Apart from that it was a great trouble shooting video
I’ve already added catch cans to mine and your clean side video was helpful, but I gotta say great job getting the camera under there! Now I know what I’ve been feeling around looks like. 😂 That’s also a great place to connect a hose for induction service. Just get another quick disconnect and a long hose and you can do it without having someone else hold the RPMs at 2000.
Use the Manual!!!
I did this on the front and back of my Maverick and I didn’t have that many problems. I didn’t use any heat either.
Afternoon nice job it looks amazing my Explorer is the same color. What color is that vinyl? Is that matte black or gray I’ll like the same color.
