Nice poem you did there. I solved the riddle in no time, got called away from my Laptop, left it running and came back just in time for you to figure it out.

How did you find the overall experience for this year's Advent Calendar?

I had a lot of fun solving this one with screenshots: cutting, pasting and rotating the paths. I immediately knew those were letters. While I was a bit irritated when passer by wasn't an N (and bus driver wasn't a V), with the 4 next to it I instantly remembered film set 42 from early in the video.

My wife and I pretty much did this exactly the way you both did. We even went so far as to cut away all the boxes that contained a 4 in them (thinking the 42 was actually 4’s with a Z instead of an S). We had a ton of fun doing this. We will definitely be doing one next year as well (as well as normal EXIT games). Merry Christmas.

“There’ no film set on the back…” oh no!

For number 3 the butterfly was in the previous image, and had followed the cat.

Way to go! I remember seeing "film set 42" on the box a few weeks back when looking for something else. So it clicked right away for me. You muscled through it though. Congratulations!

As soon as you checked the Box for something to place the seeds on (around 4:00), I immediately thought of the backs of the books (which never had been shown on screen so far). Very satisfied it turned out right in the end.

I read the clues as intended: Weeks 48/50/52 have the same schedule + 4 days per week for 49+51. Solved it without being aware of the clue on the postcard. Applying all the other clues got me close enough to identify the numbers.

It says look for the brightest light, in a Christmas game, and it’s nothing to do with the top of the tree.

We found the wording on this so dramatically unhelpful. This whole story of the woman telling us to have a flashlight ready felt like a massive red herring, as well as what light is the brightest being so unclear. It tells you to stare at the light so your first inclination is to pick the whole box up and stare at it closed.

Given that you showed the calendar sheet with already circled digits early in the video, I can't say whether I would have gotten there on my own. But the last step from there on was obvious to me. But I am familiar with the 'Already figured that out - figured all of that as well - and now what??'-experience

Figured it out before you even turned around the box (I remembered there were more signs on the back from previous videos, but the ones that already had shown up in this video held enough information to figure out the numbers) I really loved that the Cheshire Cat came with sound effects ;-)

I think the name of the instrument is a portmanteau of pearl (from the seven colorful pearls) and balalaika (a Russian instrument that looks like a guitar with three strings and a triangle-shaped body). I leave the pronunciation of that to native speakers (English/Russian/both).

This time you got us a nice initial view of the cards (almost as if you'd read my previous comments - which you obviously hadn't, given that I wrote those over two weeks after this video was shot).

I knew immediately what to do with those cards (although it took me some time to get screenshots of them to work with - a good initial view of them would have been nice). You recognized the word before me, but I instantly realized what the red main circuit breaker was hinting at and spotted the large one as soon as it came into view (and felt an increasing urge to reach into the screen to turn around the box myself).

Just stumbled upon your advent-calendar-videos. Was a bit confused at first, cause for me this is last years calendar (on which i missed out). But if you think about it, it makes totally sense, that the English version is a year late (with all the translation and probably adaption of language dependent riddles/clues). I appreciated the shoots of the room you gave, but you failed to give us a good initial view of all the six film rolls (to get the titles and numbers and maybe even those little markings)

You guys got the whole signs thing way quicker than we did, but once you were there, the correlation between the symbols and letters took us no time whatsoever so ever. Also we were in flow state as we were doing the 6th-14th in one session having been too busy!

This was hands down my fave one so far such a clever puzzle

I really appreciate the effort you are putting in these videos! I love logic puzzles. And I did read the clue the way they intended, but I can see where it would be misleading. Keep up the good work!

Did anyone else read the clues like we did?

That would not be Lifelink. Lifelink gains you life equal to the damage dealt, regardless of target. So if Silver Sable has 5 attack, whether blocked or not, you would gain 5 life if she had Lifelink. Instead, her ability demands that she is blocked in order to activate and you then only gain 1 life no matter what her attack value is. Also, I was going to ask why you didn't talk about my comment on the last video about Gate since I made a gate/fiend deck.... But I decided to check that video and found that it never went through. Thanks TH-cam. If I get the time, I'll probably try to recreate it in the discord channel since I can't trust TH-cam anymore.

Good job both very quick! It’s funny: we took a while to get the Morse code part on the box, but put the story in the correct order almost immediately, so opposite to you both.

The artificer cheated he went from 1 cp to 4 cp and he claimed he gained 2 cp. 8:51 into the video

@14:00 even if you block all incoming damage, you still get a defense roll. Monk should have rolled their defense.

I'd imagine that the Recruit Groot would taste very oak-ie, and therefore bad. So I'm leaning towards an IPA as I have never had one that tasted remotely bearable. (And tree flavored doesn't sound all that appealing.) As far as the Recruit mechanic goes it feels like something that was requested by the players, ignored for 17 sets, and then finally slapped on by a design team that had very little time to actually text it out. The SR Starfire also feels overpowered to the point where it's the only reason you make a Teen Titans team. I'm personally okay with having additional segments that do not have much of anything to do with Dice Masters. After all, the IP has been abandoned so you will eventually have talked about everything you can talk about with a game that has nothing going on.

Great game. The Paladin can be tricky to play, but when he works he works.

Arena Accessories? Battlegrounds? Card Player's Collectable Play Pieces? Dealer's Decorations? Yeah, that Black Luster Soldier that bolsters Fist characters has actually been a fairly steady card in rotation for my teams. It started on my tournament team, got forgotten about for almost a decade before being moved to a dedicated Fist team. The only thing that team is missing is SR Miles Morales from Secret Wars that does the same boosting ability as my +1/+1 to Fist characters Venom. But it's interesting to hear Yu-Gi-Oh was the first set designed. There's a lot of... Cards that want to feel overpowered? (Like most games' first sets.) Fun Fact (that may or may not be true) but those two flip X-Men promos are the only non Batman affiliated flip cards in the game. I think. (I could easily verify that information, but I'd rather be wrong and spark conversation than preemptively correct the information and be left without content.) But yeah, some promos are difficult to find.... Anywhere but eBay. But sometimes you get lucky with price or availability. But I'll tell you about a promo that I will probably never find in person or even on eBay. Rigorous Training: Sidekick Card All Sidekicks get +1 Defense. Apparently, there was a special sidekick night at 'some' local game stores. I guess this was a first place prize, cause the only info I can find of it is an article about it or its entry in the team builder site. I hope the World's End tournament went well for you guys and, once again, thanks for providing me more Dice Masters content than WizKids.
