ALWAYS slide down hil

Leave your legs down and put more of the board under your butt. You need to use the board to push against with your hands as you slide, meaning do not lie on your side and pull, rather sit up and push your butt across the board.

Did you get something to protect your car from scratches? I don't know of a product, though you could probably find it. I also heard some use a towel or something when they are moving their manual wheelchair in and out of the car. 😊

I just now saw this video. You did a good job with it. I hope you you've gotten your new chair by now. That would definitely make it easier not having to use the power chair outside. My question is how in the world did you manage to get a power chair before a manual? I know every case is different but I had to blow out my shoulders before I could get a power chair. Also, you're lucky to have such a great lil helper. Thanks for the video.

You told us that standing wasn't an option because your legs and feet wouldn't cooperate can you show us why your legs and feet arent able to, and are your feet changed after your accident and what does they look like after not being able to walk your whole life

i am in a weelchair i have spacial needs i use a weelchair too help me move around too place and i also use a walker too too help me walk around ♿

Those transfers are easier to do with a 2 doors car. It give you more space.

Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, you have developed a great sense of humor about it! Now you need to develop a business plan around it.....like ‘rent a wheelchair friend’. You could go to a TON of concerts for free AND get paid for it! God bless!

I worked 10 years in a local ARC. I was in Nursing School at the time. Loved working with the residents, only later to find that I had close connections to one of the residents. Grew up in Brooklyn, moved to upstate. One of my residents turned out to be a cousin of my sister's friends. We had a great time together reminiscing over the years, crazy!!!!

I think grab bars are the only thing that might help but i suggest you take 2 one directly facing your toilet and one on the wall next to the toilet so you have 2 grabing points

I’m a paraplegic as well for the last 2 1/2 years and at first watching you transfer it look scary cuz I didn’t want you to fall but you made it in safe. I’m still working on my transfer now but only on the passenger side cuz I don’t have a car and haven’t driven a car since my injury this video was helpful to me thank you stay strong 💪🏼
