That really is amazing how those rocks are glowing in the black light!! Wow!! Now that would be very special and would be amazing for kids to see...kids of all ages!! Awesome times!!

I learned recently, and did not know this personally, that most cans of food these days are lined with an epoxy resin, and some too contain the chemical BPA. Used to always put a can of beans on the fire to heat up...but not any more. Who knew!? I sure didn't! Wow, you really got to see those Northern Lights!! That was an amazing sight!! Haven't had the pleasure myself, so am enjoying all the footage that others were able to capture! Good to hear your night did even out! Take good care!!

The way I use my lot-o. I do after stage 1 in the rotary tumbler. I use 220 silicon carbide for 2 days. Wash them out. Then use 500 grit aluminum oxide and one tablespoon of borax. Clean out again. Then use half of a teaspoon of 14000 aluminum oxide polish and one tablespoonful borax for two days. And clean them with water and dish soap for a half an our rinse off and they come out great.

I’m pretty sure fluorite will not dissolve in acid. I found a nodule a while back filled with calcite and I put it in muriatic acid for about 45 minutes and when I took it out the calcite and limestone had dissolved revealing little purple cubes. The area was supposed to have fluorite so I assume that has to be what it is. I was just out to this area this weekend for the first time. Definitely going back!

how much grit did you use in the 6# tumbler and how long did it tumble? thank you for the info

I'm having a really hard time finding a Lot-O vibratory tumbler. Every place I call & online are sold out and they don't have an idea when they'll get them in. Any help finding one would be much appreciated!

I’m positive it is dead. I’m 90% positive it’s a fish of some kind. Possible n ostrich or some other marsupial
