This is fantastic!! I’m going to give it a go when my friend and I come over in a few weeks from the states. I have no doubt she’ll make it as she’s quite a hiker but my heart wants to try so here I come. Thank you for this beautiful inspiration!

Amazing work

Dave you need more help. The Reef is a national monument and as such needs caring and looking after by full time staff. I can understand if we didn't have the money but we do. The more work you do the safer the mountain becomes. Cheers

Loved meeting one of the skilled tradesmen on the hike up a few weeks back. I have hiked all over the world (including the Reek in 2009) an never seen this level of competence and artistry in the rehab of this heavily used trail. Congratulations to all involved for a wonderful project. Thanks so much to all for your hard work and dedication.

I'd need a helicopter 🚁 to bring me up. My knees wouldn't be able for that climb. My drone will capture what I can't see😢

It's amazing how much back-breaking work was required to compensate for the thoughtless, selfish people who were in such a hurry that they had to take "shortcuts,'' highly discouraged on trails everywhere because they usually lead to more damage and erosion. Outstanding work as usual. We can only hope that people eventually respect the mountain and your hard work, and cut that out. Maybe you need volunteer "ambassadors'' watching out during especially busy periods to correct poor behavior.

Only special people can do this you need a big engine And a big generous heart Proof that the Irish people have survived centuries of war Hunger genocide emigration and survived is a tribute to all of them To be able to do this God bless these men and women may God lay his gentle hand on them

More great work keeping it all together👍 From your time-lapse you get a sense of the volume of traffic that must go up and down the mountain day after day, creating that never ending need for maintenance.

Im looking up Irish heritage all morning which led me to st Patrick and then to looking up about Croagh Patrick and just as I look to see what the top of the mountain looks like this video is posted. Talk about timing. Beautiful video.
