Boobie Gibson was the best Cavs player during game 1. All these bronsexuals try to make excuses for LeBron playing awful in this series, clearly this was a learning experience for him. Zydrunas was an all star before LeBron ever was and Larry Hughes averaged 23 ppg 3 years prior to this, this Cavs team was not a bad team.

Unfortunately in 82 and 85 the Celtics had huge 40 point wins vs the Sixers and then the Lakers in game 1. But only to lose game 2 at home and eventually the series :(

Watching this series, ican confidently say that Mike with this cavs team, woulda won this series. Especially with the way they played defense. Plus, leaving Mike open like they did with lebron woulda got the spurs torched

Amare left this series with 37.0 points 9.8 rebounds 1.0 steal and 1.6 blocks Nash with 23.2 points 3.8 rebounds 10.6 assists 1.2 steals The Spurs had 3 players with 20+ points and played some beautiful basketball with the Suns pace. Team ball will always be the most fun to watch for me.

I remember the narrative coming into the series was that the Spurs defense will hold the Suns to 85-90 ppg. The Spurs instead decided to run with Phoenix, the scores remained in the 110's, and the pace was played at Phoenix's pace.

The Spurs forced Bron to be an inefficient jump shooter in this series, in addition to directing the entire defense at him whenever he tries to attack. San Antonio successfully forced LeBron's teammates to try and step up and beat them. Of course, since it was practically a one man offense in Cleveland, it didn't work.

Not only did T.D. destroy the Pistons in the paint, he did it against arguably one of the greatest defensive centers of all-time (Big Ben was at the very least the greatest defensive center of the decade by miles). Sheed wasn't a bad defender himself, but Duncan schooled him like he was a kid.
