    It depends, I have vagal afib which I developed after taking minoxidil/fenasteride for hairloss for 3 years and all my episodes happen right when I'm about to wake up in the morning. I have no issues works out hard, drinking coffee or alcohol. I have no afib now after quitting my hairloss routine.

      That is good to know! My daughter was taking a pre-work out which was causing afib. When she stop the pre-work powder, she got better.

      @@EricPadro so you’re not the one with afib but your daughter? Yes it does, elevate heart rate and palpitations, no where it mentioned of afib.

      @@Theauthenticmindset I had AFib first then shortly after she got diagnosed 7 months later. Since she stop taking the prework, afib went away. However, I needed medicines, surgery, and lifestyle adjustments.

    57 years of age. mountain biking all my life (31 years plus). afib since 2018. ablation in 2021. 3 years back to normal life including 8,000 km of mtb average/year. back with afib last month. doc said i need to slow down. said that is crazy to keep 120 bpm average for 2/3 hours - 4x a week. in hard training, steep uphills heart reaches 160 bpm. doc said this is too much in my age. hard to slow down but im reading a lot about afib in senior endurance sports and this is really a concern.

    This is not advice for everyone with AFIB. Talk to your cardiologist.

    I've dealt with afib for about 35 years. There are actually several types of AFib, the hi beat rate that you had, I've never had that. What I get is a raised heart rate to about 140 and then very irregular rhythm, I can immediately feel it in my chest. I stopped activity, take a cayenne pepper capsule as a natural blood thinner, reconcile myself to the fact that the rest of the day I'm just going to sleep or rest, take magnesium supplements and sometimes Epsom salt bath with magnesium. Within 24 hours the rhythm returns to normal the heart rate returns to a normal range rather quickly in my case. Then I will have a lack of energy for about 2 days, , and I just take it easy.. like I said I've been doing this for 35 years I've gone for like 4 or 5 years with no episodes and other years I'll have three or four in one year. They always have the same pattern. As I mentioned they go away within 24 hours. A long time ago a doctor told me don't let it go more than 48 hours, if so you need to get the ER.

    What is the common denominator(you haven't mentioned), with MOST experiencing AFib and myocarditis?

    • @EricPadro
      @EricPadro 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question, the most common denominator that you may hear from doctors is that as you get older, Afib is a common condition. However, most doctors say that Afib is something you may experience in your 60s, 70s, and 80s. If you do more research, you may find some info pointing to Covid 19 or the vaccines. My entire family was full vaccinated however I was the only one having Afib symptoms. My point is that it could be many reason why someone is experiencing Afib. The first step is to confirm your condition and ask your doctor what options you may have available based on your insurance plan. Meds are temporary solution with several of side affects. I hope this helps.

    Thanks for the channel. My mom had what her doctor called, an irregular heartbeat. She lived a normal life to almost 99 years. I currently am experiencing something like that. I have a good cardiologist, taken every test, have a loop recorder inserted in my heart muscle to gather data. I go from Bradycardia to Tachycardia. I'm on medication, and have several electrical issues. I feel fine, so I just try to stay healthy. Take med and don't skip Dr. visits.
