"it's so easy to read on a kindle" i feel you!!! i actually switched to the audiobooks from the middle of the chamber of secrets cause that's even easier 😭 the details about the night harry's parents die (like peter's lost finger and the civilians testifying against sirius) allowed me to better understand why sirius was first convincted, bc if you just watch the movies you don't get much details and it's almost like no investigation happened (there wasn't even a trial in the book so sirius' conviction still isn't ok but it's still a bit better explained) also, the way harry learned everything in the leaky cauldron makes more sense in the book. he overhears the conversation happening at another table. in the movie, he sees the minister for magic and just decides to follow him into a private room like??? and bless hagrid's heart in this scene, he's still so sad about it all, my poor man i also agree on your point about harry's emotions being well portrayed here, i felt so so bad for him and sirius and remus bonus points for the time spent in diagon alley and for the whole story with crookshanks being an actual protector of the innocents™

It seems that the books that you don’t anticipate end up your highest ratings, compare all of these to metalslinger and soulmate equation… not many of them seem to keep up, very interested to see how those unread pan out, but hey this pretty girl is busy non stop so hopefully what she does get to read when she can is books that make her happy x

Misery is probably my most hated book ever. It was so long-winded and boring. I had to give up halfway through and watched the film instead which was so much better

Geez. I thought the movies weren't long enough. I would have been happy if they'd each been as long as each of the LOTR movies. I guess it's because I grew up in the 60's abd 70's watching longer movies as a regular event. 🤷‍♀️ The non-derogatory term for mudblood is muggleborn.

I like the characters in thr book better than the movies because they seem more real to me.

Crazy TH-cam recommended me this video considering I just binged all 7 books like a month ago. Definitely agree that watching the movie after reading the book totally changes your perception of it. Before I read GOF, I loved the movie. After reading it though, it's definitely my least favorite. The director, Mike Newell, was open about the fact he never read the books and even complained about how long they were. You can tell how little he knew about the story based on how the final product turned out. They botched the Barty Crouch Sr/Jr storyline. In the book it seemed like Jr might've been innocent. But in the movie it's made pretty clear he's totally guilty. Also I really hated how they handled the Quidditch world cup. Like it made absolutely no sense to show the lead up to the match only to not show any of the match itself. As bad as fudge was in the movies, he was 100x worse in the books. He really only cared about hanging on to the position of minister of magic. But honestly my biggest disappointment with the movie was that they didn't show the moment with Harry and Mrs. Weasley, which imo was the most emotional moment in the book.

So lucky to watch this beautiful lady read, amazing video as always xx

Goblet of Fire is definitely in my top 3 of the series. I haven't watched the movies in a while, but I also remember being disappointed. What are your opinions about the differences in the golden trio? Just how Goblet of Fire is one of my favorite books, and the adaptation being my least favorite. Book Ron is my favorite out of the trio and movie Ron is my least favorite.
