    its funny im also using a old plastic frame pair of boro/diamondindum (im sure i did not spell it correctly) over top of my script eye glasses. getting old stinks lol . i like the auras a lot. but i dont have the budget for those. i love your channel and work tho. thanks for sharing. wish we had all these youtubes and facebook groups when i first started 22+ years ago.

      Hi there. If glass breaks, it keeps it from falling on me. In addition in some of these videos you'll see that I use the edge of it as a scoring tool.

    How do you keep the glass from cracking without flashing it? It seems like if i don't keep the whole thing glowing a dull orange it will crack on me before too long.

      Soda Lime (soft) glass is more susceptible to breakage than boro. In addition, hollow is stronger than solids. Usually the cracks occur when you reintroduce a cooled piece into the flame. You'll see me garage the pieces I make in my kiln throughout the videos to counteract the stress that torching puts into the glass.

      On the dichroic side - it helps to seal in the dichro and keeps it from burning off. Also, I used cobalt blue, not black.

    I have done this with brass wax stamps! It is very cool when I manage to get it right :)
