    Understanding: Go on maths genie and revise the same number of topics each day. Learning: Immediately do topical questions after completing a topic, starting with the foundation. Screenshot any and all mistakes and compile them into a folder; revise this folder and identify why the mistakes occurred the day of or the night before the exam. Consolidation: Complete all the past papers available to you (or as many as you can).

    -4-5 topics daily up until exams -use maths genie -screenshot questions you got wrong and identify what you keep getting wrong -higher do grade 4 to 9 -lock in, it’s not too late -> revise LOTS especially if you wanna go from a 3 to a 9

    MathGenie also has "45 minute papers" which are essentially the past papers split into 2, I find this very useful because the first half for higher is aimed at grade 5 to 6 and the second half is for 7-9, which means you can easily bang out 3 past papers a week if you spend 45 minutes a day (for 6 days and 1 rest day) I also find 1st Class Maths helpful for explanations, he also has this page where you can see the amount of times (in %) a certain topic has been seen in the previous year papers for Edexcel and AQA. His predicted papers are also apparently very good (and free) which I will see for myself when I sit the 2024 exams. I hope this helps you as much as this has helped me, good luck everyone.

      listen mate. start by opening your book and sorting out the topics ( about 90. Make a section for equations a section for geometry, statistics and finally a section for the easy foundation tier stuff like speed and percentages ) and then binge-watch lessons in the next 7 days and write notes with examples BE CONSICE AND SIMPLE. For the rest of the three weeks apply your knowledge to past papers and you should get a solid 8 or 9 trust me most of the questions are so redundant and require simply understanding and familiairity you'll never be asked something outside the book. Finally, when you get a 9, 8 or 7 come here and thank me. ; }. Past papers are good but never useful if you don't establish a solid foundation and properly understand the lessons. if you keep making the same mistake in past papers open your book and redo the lesson.

      Hi, Thank you soo much for your comment :) I completely understand what position you are in, in terms of being new to the country and having to sit external exams. First of all, I believe its very possible but you have to act fast, smart and hard, you will need to go through all the spec points for science (use external notes such as PMT - Physicsandmathstutor.com - read through it, make a note of anything you cant grasp and watch a video on it) - then I would recommend going through past paper questions on every topic - new / old etc doesnt matter as long as you practise recalling / applying info. This will help you get on the path to 8s and 9s in sha Allah I hope that helps and I genuinely believe in you!

    Hello! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the techniques in this video are basically what I am already doing :D Anyways, as someone aiming for straight 9s, I was wondering if you'd have any tips for English Language and Literature? I'll learn quotes as best as I can, but in terms of essay writing, our class is incredibly behind. We haven't written any essays on the 19th century novel, only 1 on the modern text, and no poetry essays. I have written some in my free time but my teacher hasn't marked them because she says she's too busy and I doubt she'll be able to mark my essays in the future, so I can't be entirely sure if my essays are of grade 9 quality or not. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @calminqsscalminqss3136
      @calminqsscalminqss3136 ปีที่แล้ว

      i do edexcel and in my mock i got a 9 in both language and literature (95% in lang, 97% in lit) my biggest advice would be to always talk about the reader reaction. it builds on your analysis and allows you to go into greater detail. on the topic of greater detail, always analyse/link back or forwards to another quote further on in texts where your studied theme/character appears in, and analyse whether there have been developments, lack of change or regression to the character. if it is a theme, link out to a moment in your text where a similar/different idea is shared. for poetry, always talk about how one quote can have two different meanings etc.

    • @StudywithAb1
      @StudywithAb1 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries at all 😁 I would say that if you struggle with time management then just have a basic timetable, it doesn’t have to be detailed etc. for me personally using revision timetable never worked, I just made a plan of which subject I struggle with and did a few hours on that and then circled around my jobs (if that makes sense) in terms of how you can revise for maths, I would say maths genie is your best friend. Look through the sections for grade 1-5, watch the walkthrough and do the questions. For English you need to use revision videos to help aid you to learn structures for questions. For religious studies, get yourself a cgp guide for that as it’s got everything you need. If you’re aiming to just pass all your subjects then I truly believe you can do it and there’s need to be worried at all. You’ve still got one month to grind out these subjects and you’re only really looking to go up 2 grades so it’s very doable. Also if you need extra support, I would suggest depending on your financial state to hire a tutor for only one month or go revision classes that your school is hosting. For me personally revision classes helped me jump up grades

    I got 7s 8s and some 9s in my mocks in December and I wanted to turn my 7s into 8s if possible and get more 9s, but in January i had a back operation and so I've missed lots of school obviously, and I'm going to be in school full time only after this easter holiday is over . So I'm trying to cram in revision but it just gets too much sometimes, too tiring. Thank you for this video, i will try and do more active recall and hopefully it should help

      Thank you so much for your comment. I honestly understand, it can be really overwhelming preparing for exams especially after missing time from school, I believe you can do it 💪

    asalamualeykum ab im currently finnishing off my flash cards for content heavy subjects is it too late to do that at this stage since gcses are in a months time? i keep thinking that im wasting my time but on the other hand flashcards help me retain knowledge. btw my flashcards have a question related to the spec on one side and the answer on the other side.

      Walaikum assalam, of course it’s great that you’re doing that as you still have some time to do it 😊 Make sure that you finish as soon as possible and then move on to going through them + doing exam question packs on physics and maths tutor or any other website depending on subject and you’ll be more then sound in sha Allah

    im so scared, GCSE’s are already here and it’s so mad. i started revising in January so im not stuck in the mud at the moment, but im still revisiting topics in maths eg that i don’t understand completely. sciences at this point im just focused on practice questions on each topic and blurting on my whiteboard. English is the only problem right now.

      Don’t worry you got this, as you said you started revising in January so you already know what you’re doing. Even though it feels like you aren’t prepared enough, you will know a lot more then you think (speaking from experience) and you will be able to smash your exams in sha Allah. In terms of English lang, I would recommend looking at TH-cam channels for specific advice on how to structure answer for each question + practise analysis of random extracts for language, structure and form. And then for English lit, look at grade 9 analysis of characters and themes and then again practise answering questions on it
