Pretty dumb scene but Shardbearers are one of the best fantasy character types I've ever read, I'm sick of underpowered nonsense. Kaladin is just too convenient

Szeth's voice actor is such a treasure. This is exactly how I imagined he would sound like. Anger mixed with disbelief and desperation when faced against someone who is a living proof that Szeth never had to kill anyone. If by any chance there would be any adaptation of these books, any person who plays Szeth is now forever cursed to be compared to this champion

So I’m a horticulture major specializing in cannabis biology & cultivation, and I did some research, and basically the mechanoreceptors in plants can detect the vibration from music, activating them. If done in the right way, it can lead to the production of growth hormones like auxins. Additionally, mechanoreceptors may stimulate the movement of nutrients and water within the plant. Another thing is it apparently the mechanoreceptors can also be activated to increase chlorophyll production. I’m thinking plants can use this in their environment to tell when conditions are safe, I mean they are living beings after-all. I'm thinking music enhances the frequencies of the sound, and if the right ones are played, it's like an enhanced version of the sounds in their natural environment, and you can manipulate the mechanoreceptors to do those things at an artificially increased rate to optimize plant growth.

I think this is the most impressive feat in the series, a non invested human killing a full shardbearer in single combat; coming out unscathed.

The last 9 chapters of Oathbringer are a masterpiece. It’s not a perfect book, but that Sanderlanch is probably the best ever!

One small detail that I missed at first, Sadeas's guard drew their swords when for all they knew Dalinar and Adolin were about to charge them with shardblades. Sades did not deserve that level of loyalty.
