I was just curious why this school seems to use the older style Randal May carriers on their drums? As the whole group walks by you can also see some of the less experienced looking kids wearing the newer style hardware. It just seems odd and I was wondering if anyone who'd been in the group could explain

Some of our instructors in the late 80s (I think) taught at USC too and brought us some of the cadences (ie Latin Blood at the beginning)

That's veerry awesome! I hope my band is like that. I known you guys from watching your school's drum major L pattern competition. Since then, I envy how not just your band program, but your whole school. Your school can do everything!! SOOOO LUCKY! Btw, I'm in California too, and that was a quiicck reply.

yes we start individually as sections at the end of the school year and beginning of summer On the first week of summer we have a new marchers camp for incoming freshmen and ppl who never marched with us before Summer sectionals start the week after new marchers camp and its once a week Then 2 weeks before school starts, we have "hell week" where the whole band gets together on the football field pretty much the whole day for about 5 days then we go off to the mts. for 6 days then school starts.

What the craaaapp. If it wasn't for the flute solo at the beginning, I would thought this was a Drum Corp. And this good even before school started? You guys are sooo lucky to be in a school like this.

we actually have a band camp on the football field(aka hell week) the week before we go off to to mountains for another band camp. so 2 weeks of just band
