    Is your observation valid for stock setting on FuelX ? I am asking since many of us don’t use FuelX.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey! Yes, FuelX Pro does help the engine run cooler when using a richer fuel setting. However, the difference becomes truly significant when paired with fully synthetic oil. I’ve been using FuelX Pro for a long time, but I only noticed a dramatic improvement like night and day after switching to fully synthetic oil. It’s definitely a game-changer for keeping the engine smooth and cool.

    Sir I have installed HJG fog lamp. Mechanic connected one point to the ignition socket right side below the tank another to the point to a bolt besides head light for earthing. Is that the right connection? Kindly suggest.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey.. did he use the proper connector for the ignition socket or simply insert a stripped wire? If the proper socket is not used then it is not recommended and may cause issues. Under the tank there is a point provided in the Himalayan 450 just for this purpose, you can use that. It is on the left side under the tank and red color two pin socket. That would be the proper way to connect, you can easily find the male connector for the socket, that would be the proper way to connect it. For the ground it is ok to connect to the chassis but again the wire should be prepared properly with O or C clamp and property insulated with heat shrink.

    Bro, how do I fix the tapping noise?

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, the Himalayan 450 has a different type of engine; it doesn't have tappets. Instead, it uses shims for valve clearance adjustment. Shims cannot be adjusted; they can only be replaced once they are past their service life, and this is a complicated process, so it's best to leave it to the RE service center. I'm assuming you're a new owner, and if the noise isn't too loud, I would suggest riding the bike for a while (at least 2000-2500 km), as most noises tend to fade away. However, if the noise is unusually loud or persistent, it's best to get it checked at the service center as soon as possible.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, after a lot of trial and error, I’ve come to the conclusion that setting number 8 is the best. It provides quick acceleration, which is great for filtering through city traffic, and on highways, it delivers the best mileage. On my last trip, I got around 31 kmpl. Also, I’m not sure if it’s just a placebo effect or real, but when running on setting number 8, the bike feels smoother. The engine revs happily, making the bike feel lighter with almost no vibrations.

    • @ketanupasani709
      @ketanupasani709 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @OnceARider How much is the milage in the city? I am going through the trial and error phase and currently on setting 5. I am worried that setting 8 will give out low mileage. We get the 20% performance gain at setting 8. So it's a great setting but how is the impact on the mileage based on your experience? Any other drawbacks you noticed?

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In the city, I get around 26-28 kmpl, depending on the traffic conditions. Setting number 5 runs a richer fuel mixture compared to the stock setting, so mileage drops a bit, and the performance improvement isn’t significant enough to justify it. That’s why I’d say setting number 8 offers the best balance of mileage and performance. Regarding the drawbacks, I haven't noticed anything yet.

    • @ketanupasani709
      @ketanupasani709 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@OnceARider Okay, but 8 will deliver even less mileage as compared to stock and setting 5 as it is even more richer.. Are you getting 26-28 at setting 8? Also, how have you tested the fuel economy? Thanks! ❤️

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, this is the mileage I’m getting with setting number 8, and these figures are based on the tank-to-tank method. While setting number 8 runs a richer fuel mixture, it doesn’t mean it’s always running richer. One of the inputs is the throttle position, so in my opinion, it provides a richer fuel mixture on demand. Hence, there’s no significant impact on mileage. I say this because I used to get almost the same mileage without the FuelX Pro.

From my experience with bikes, I've learned that practicality should take a back seat. What's more important is that you enjoy your ride. When you twist the throttle, it should bring a smile to your face, and every rupee spent on accessories should feel worth it. Who knows, once you get your bike, you might even dive into touring and excel at it. So don’t overthink practicality-get the bike you connect with. No bike is perfect for every scenario, but if you love your ride, you’ll find a way to make it work in any condition.

      Hello... Unfortunately I haven't made a video on this topic, but it is a fairly easy thing to do. Just use the key provided in the kit with extension bar and rotate the preload adjuster anticlock wise to increase and clockwise to decrease the preload. How much preload you need is basically a hit and trial process there isn't any concrete formula for it. Just make sure you account for your own weight, pillion weight and luggage weight. Keep the preload such that the suspension doesn't bottom out on any bump or depression on the roads. Also keep in mind with less preload the bike swings a lot and that causes destabilisation. So the idea is to set a preload, go for a spin and analyze the ride and readjust until you are satisfied. I can create a short video on this topic if you want. ✌️

      you can use 140/70-17 from Reise moto, this will also reduce the height of the bike by approx 14mm ( 140mm x .80 - 140mm x .70 ) => 14mm. Many people are already using it and haven't heard any issue related to this tyre.

    according to user manual, you have to press the chain up and down to measure slack, you are doing it wrong

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey Bro, this is the correct method and as per the manual, you can check the arrow shown in the picture in the manual it only point upward. For down movement, gravity is already pulling the chain down. And moreover up down doesn't even matter here we are setting the free play of the chain.

    • @wmarin
      @wmarin 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@OnceARider read the text on the manual: 4 - At the specified point, press the chain upwards and measure the distance to the swing arm. 5-Press the chain downwards and measure the distance to the swing arm. 6 - The difference between values in step 4 and step 5 should be the drive chain free play is 35 to 40 mm.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Trust me, that's not very critical thing, we just have to set a free play of 35-40mm which is recommended, but even if it has some error of let's say 5-10% it is not going to do any harm, you can adjust your chain as per your preference.

      Hey Deepak, Unusually get between 26 to 30 kmpl depending upon the traffic. And I spend around 1200-1400 on fuel monthly and sometimes even more if there are rides during that period.

      @OnceARider If there are rides how much it could cost more per ride or monthly wise

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well it depends on the distance, usually during long rides where we ride on highway city and some off-road, you can expect the average of 30+ kmpl. So lets say you ride for 300km then 10 x 105 = 1050, so you can expect 1-1.5k for the rides
