I have been experiencing a problem with the DQ250 gearbox for the last 10,000 km and it sounds like this: When the clutch engages there is a clunk, the gear shifts are very linear and nothing is felt, except a clunk and a little jerk. I have noticed this phenomenon also when I go, in any gear, take my foot off the accelerator and put it back on, a clank is heard. I'll leave some videos below with what I'm trying to explain. I'm guessing it would be the dual mass flywheel, the car having 210k km. The dog bone and mounts are ok. Replaced the CV Joints but nothing changed. The sounds appears when you try to reproduce the noise which gets louder and louder the more you try to reproduce it Also when i'm in idle i feel sometimes some vibratians and when i put it in D, the vibration dissaperes. On VCDS there's no errors from mechatronic unit. What do you guys think?

It is the 'in - out' play of the turbo shaft that matters ! Side to side (unless seriously excessive) is a non issue as Oil pressure is needed to enable the correct clearances. Why buy a Fresh CHRA when a $50 rebuild kit is the only difference between New and rebuilt?? Not much use in scribing the CHRA for Clocking purposes.... when it is going to be replaced ?

Mine started doing this today after a coworker used it to run self tappers in a tow hitch, took the hammer apart and cleaned and regreased and now it’s back to normal

You removed the driveaxle flanges. Did you empty the gearbox for oil first, or is it not necessary?

Doesnt show removing the 6mm bolts holding the aluminium housing on to the cast exhaust side does it. See them all except the one under the wastegate actuator.............

Hi, If I am not replacing gearbox and only doing clutch swap do I need to remove flange when dropping the transmission? I've just disconnected the drive shaft.
